We aren't half getting jammy with these minor injuries recently. I can't remember which game it was but that's twice in the last 3 or 4 games Barmby adjusting the bench has coincided with an injury that wouldn't have been directly covered if he hadn't changed it. If it had still been Cullen on the bench it'd have been Fryatt up top and McLean to the right, which would lose us some pace up front. This way Brady for King is more of a like for like change in the system.
Leeds have had a goal disallowed against West Ham, still 0-0 there. It's also Birmingham 1-0 Middlesborough.... The table at half time: 1) Southampton P37, GD 31, PTS 69 [Losing 2-1] 2) Reading P37, GD 18, PTS 68 [Drawing 0-0] ------------------------------------------- 3) West Ham P36, GD 21, PTS 67 [Drawing 0-0] 4) Birmingham P36, GD 20, PTS 59 [Winning 1-0] 5) Blackpool P37, GD 11, PTS 59 [Winning 2-1] 6) Middlesborough P36, GD 5, PTS 59 [Losing 1-0] ------------------------------------------- 7) Hull City P36, GD 9, PTS 58 [Drawing 0-0] 8) Brighton P37, GD 7, PTS 58 [Losing 2-1] 9) Cardiff P36, GD 7, PTS 57 [Not Playing] 10) Leeds P37, GD 5, PTS 54 [Drawing 0-0]
Signing Connolly to cover their defence and take some pressure off has paid off for them, they've only conceded 3 goals since they played us.
Birmingham are in the middle of destroying Middlesborough and reducing their goal difference. Nicking a goal here will do us wonders!
