Be good to have some of them back, the board opted to get rid without the thought of progression....but hey ho!! I await the old ffp comments!!
latest IS THE VIRUS IS heavier than air, so lurks on the lowest surface it comes into contact with, it can be stirred up by vacuuming .. so do it alone and slowly full ppe employed ... so when opening any presents from around the tree make sure wearing gloves face mask and goggles, move slowly .. dispose of wrapping carefully and wash hands between parcels …. when getting out of bed remove slippers from protective plastic bag, sanitise alarm clock off button if used/touched. ensure toothbrush was covered after sterilising previous night. do not use first 3 or 4 sheets of toilet paper instead fold carefully place in plastic bag and place in microwave for 25 secs at top heat. There is a longer list from .gov
As previously stated Mr Johnson never put in place his identity, his model of play, his system of play, his project, his big picture call it whatever you want. He did the opposite with time and resources at his disposal. Why it’s simple, he was not skilled enough and strong willed enough to do it. In Mr Johnson’s coaching speak he was going through constantly the storming stage of development. He did not put in place his trusted leaders to implement his vision and set standards. Lee Johnson stated in 2016/17 it would take three windows to shape the squad as he would like it, and that he should be judged on his side then ..
Be good to maybe have two or three of them back and also offload several others still with us on that list. My god there is a hell of a lot of utter dross on that list. But a couple of points that are the reality of our situation and not the fantasy. Firstly we were not progressing into a consistent team with these players, secondly and far more importantly how exactly do you believe that Brownhill, Reid, Bryan, Kelly and Webster would have reacted had we not allowed them to leave for bigger and better things or were they forced out? Our transfer policy started off OK but is now dysfunctional, we have 3 ex Chelsea players probably not worth a third of the 15mil we spent on them, Massengo we would probably be lucky to get 1mil for him now, the decision makers (whoever they maybe) are not getting it right and haven't done so now for 3 seasons and they are certainly not prioritising the right areas, it is totally pointless signing another striker (like the paper talk) until we have sorted centre midfield and wing back positions.
Palmer in Bristol City terms was not cheap. He was bought to play in a team that approached its football how? Bristol City went from short passing to long passing to high pressing to counter attack to wingers to wingless to two up top, one, target men ... There were no fundamental priorities to Lee Johnson’s football. When the approaches are that varied a consequence was haphazard recruitment = There was never a bigger playing picture guiding this.
