There were more than 400 from Huddersfield, it was a decent turn-out. Brue and Macca? Macca didn't play and we don't have a Brue.
Agree with most of that Bruceyboy except Bruce was poor in possession and often resorted to a long punt. Faye's lack of pace is a worry and he gave a couple of free-kicks in dangerous positions when their players ran at him.

Shocking match. Huddersfield were ****e. That lad with the long hair, that some people round me, mockingly said was Aluko's sister was the only decent performer for Huddersfield. And in saying that, City were as bad, in particular upfront. Sorry, but Proschwitz is doing my head in. Sometimes, Meyler was further up the pitch than him, and he missed a decent chance to put it to bed. Fryatt has just lost it. I think strikers are a must in January. The other lads, couldn't fault the back 4 or Harper. Boyd started brightly, then faded in the second half. Quinn was comfortable on the ball, but little cutting edge. We seemed to do what we did a lot last season ie pass side to side then go back, with little going on upfront. He dictated possession well, and only after he left the pitch did Huddersfield have an attempt. Meyler got stuck in well. Harrassed their players. My MOTM for me. Sagbo had some decent touches, but looked a bit frustrated by the end. Fair play to Brucey coming out and saying like it was on Humberside afterwards. Despite the low attendance, it was still higher than FC's playoff match. Which is laughable.
Just watching the highlights & really can't believe Pros missed that open goal. It cost me £30 odd but at least I got him at 5/1 for first scorer. But REALLY?
There's perfectly good reasons not to go to Cup games. It's extra games that can cause injuries now and suspensions either now (red cards) or later in the season (additional yellow cards), and they affect our ability to survive in the Premierleague, which is the priority for this season. When we're an established PL club then trying for the Cups is a good idea, until then I'm not going to give the false impression that I want us to do well in them as if I and others who think similarly do the same there may come a feeling of pressure to play the first team rather than the fringe players to avoid annoying fans. There is a lot of hypocrisy from some of those who didn't go though. You can guarantee that if we get to Wembley or get a big club at home there'll be a lot more suddenly interested and we'll end up playing a first team in the game. I however won't be going to any League Cup games, and other than for the reasons above I think if there is a big game Bruce should stick with the reserves for the games. It's those players that earnt us the game so let them have the "benefits" of it as well, the first team will get to play in the league games against those teams at those grounds (except Wembley).
Some didn't want to pay money over to Hull City Tigers Ltd, for example Eric and at least one other person. First home cup game missed in nearly 20 years. Some couldn't attend due to ill health or the ill health of a relative. Some didn't attend because they were skint and couldn't afford it. Some couldn't be bothered and stayed in/went out. Some had other commitments, such as work, family gatherings etc. Some didn't fancy watching our second team play Huddersfield Town's second team, and some just want to watch premier league football. Have I missed anyone? Good job Assem Allam does not need to rely on the fan's feelings when he makes his business decisions.
Funny how when I made the exact same point, I got accused of clearly not understanding the game because apparently he was sublime.
No, there was a campaign group meeting before the match and more AFC songs were sung inside the ground.
