Really stop making up lies. Show me where I have said we were equal sides? That is a total distortion (as usual).

You have to score to win and they did not score enough to win, according to the stats they had 3 clear cut chances and scored 1 and strangely we had 4 clear cut chances and scored 1. Of course it's bleeding obvious is bleeding obvious because it's true.

FFS it really seems as though you want us fail for some reason, now bitching about our goal, so what if it was offside? like we have players to do specific jobs like make saves, make last ditch tackles, create and score goals, there are 3 men paid to officiate the game and they said it was a goal, again it happens.

There are no points for being the better team or for having a goal against you that may or may not be offside.

Please where in my post that you are referencing did I say that Fulham were not the better side? They are a premiership side in all but status at present and they were a joy to watch and a reminder of how far we are away from that, it helps if you have the sort of quality that they can call on and a huge parachute payment. But if you don't convert your superiority into goals, then you might not win and that is exactly what happened.

Most fans are happy to see a BCFC team on a REGULAR basis put in 100% to a man, something missing for far too long at this club and a midfield not prepared to be bullied in every single game and that has been missing for even longer, the missing link is midfield creativity.

I agree Bakinson was poor and that might be an in for maybe Palmer? I also thought Weimann pushed back into a midfield role was almost as poor. We are at present lop sided, DaSilva/Baker and Pring cover well for each other, but Tanner was left with little or no cover because Weimann is allowed wander around all over the place, nobody can question his commitment or energy but I have never seen him as a midfielder, he simply does not understand the roll and it also makes a big miss in the opponents penalty area. Lets be honest yesterday proved how much we missed Massengo on that right side.

On Wednesday I would rest Martin, whose passing in the 2nd half was wasteful (but he did win more than his fair share of flick ons). Put Wells and Weimann up front, Palmer in the central midfield role in place of Bakinson and put Williams on the right side of midfield to provide Tanner with better cover, I think it might balance us more.

On another note I will be surprised if Baker is fully fit, he pulled up after his wonderful last ditch tackle late on and was visibly wincing every time he kicked the ball, hopefully not serious.

Imagine Bristol City FC off last season playing this slick Fulham side .
It would have been a cricket score.
NP and his team doing a sound job.

The 20-year-old was seen entering the Players Lounge at Ashton Gate shortly before confirmation of the starting line-ups and had a brief conversation with Robins owner Steve Lansdown. It was to confirm SL had sorted out his pension investment, and started an Equity savings plan …… :emoticon-0105-wink:

Making things up.....show me one thing that even remotely mentions me wanting us to fail? I said we got away with a draw and you say we fully deserved it,,,
That's it, nothing more.......you have your opinion which I don't agree with and I have mine..........which I do.. get over it...we see things different......nothing to do with me wanting us to fail......just reality of the game...........any neutral watching, I believe would agree with me!!!

I will make it as plain as I possibly can.

    1. Fulham should have won.
    2. They missed chances and never won.
    3. Because they couldn't score they never deserved to win.

I would suggest that anybody neutral or otherwise would say exactly the same, because it's true, pundits say virtually every week, 'should have won, but if you don't take your chances, you don't deserve to win". It's one of the pundits go to cliches.

I am sorry if that concept is too difficult for you to follow.

PS:- Let me just add after the game there was 9 of us sat in the sports bar having a beer and every single one of us were not only happy and proud at not only seeing a very good game but also over our part in that game and also every single one of us agreed that we deserved a point.

We should have beaten Blackpool in the first game of the season, but we didn't deserve to because we didn't take our chances and could not see out the final 90 seconds. That's football in a nutshell.

In other words, as I said......we got away with it.....
    1. Because they couldn't take their zillion chances
    2. Most of the game, dominated possession
    3. Our goal shouldn't have stood, by the letter of the law of the game
My exact words after the game of which I stand by
"Got away with a draw IMO.. good game and although at times it was men against boys, couldn’t fault our efforts.. gave 100%"

Pearson in a round about way said the same thing....I think more like him than I do you...but hey ho I can live with that! :emoticon-0103-cool:

    My take from the highlights.

DaSilva needs to stay as far away from our box as possible. Footballer that he is doesn't make up for his presence in our box. Teams knock it to the far post knowing who's waiting in a red shirt.

Seems Baker is nursing an injury because there isn't a sane reason why he doesn't play alongside Atkinson and Kalas.
Thought our togetherness shone out again today and pleased for Palmer to score an excellent finish.
If Bakinson fluffed his lines today and Nige keeps the rest as is, I'd play Williams (fitness?) as his replacement.

We got what we deserved and so did they. The officials said it was a goal so it was a goal, bitching about it afterwards is just defending his players, I suspect in reality Silva was more angry about turning their possession into goals to win comfortably.

Of course not withstanding the point that we actually had more clear cut chances than they had, especially the air shot by Wells that should have been buried, in a first half where chances for both sides were at a premium.

    Well we agree to disagree.
If we are talking about effort alone, I agree we deserved not to lose.
Not bitching about anything afterwards....we got away with the fact that the officials made a vital mistake......not defending his players at all...where have I said that or are you making it up?
I disagree that we had more clear cut chances, having said that, Wells should have put his header away IMO......but they had an abundance of chances (maybe you missed, probably arguing with someone) :emoticon-0105-wink:

    Away from the stupidness....
I thought we missed HNM massively yesterday, the energy he brings to the side was not there. (Wasp like)
Williams made a big difference and balanced us so much better when he came on. And also the presence of Palmer beefed us up a bit...
Just my opinion...you don't have to agree!! :emoticon-0105-wink:

Mate, the stats, the stats for the game not me clearly state that they had 3 clear cut chances and we had 4, so argue with them not me, maybe you missed them looking in the mirror.

Wells missed with his air shot it was a chance that a striker of his alleged repute should put away, for his header I will give him a pass, he was under severe pressure, the volley that brought a great save from their keeper was Vardyesque IMHO, Baker should have put his far post header away it was easier to hit the target than miss.

I would say we were lucky insomuch as Palmers goal should have been disallowed for offside.
I learnt something today; I thought that a touch by an opposition player was enough to play you onside. Apparently that is almost true, but a save by the goalkeeper is an exception.
Every day is a school day.

There is more to a game than stats......Of what I saw, they had far more chances to win the game than we did....end of......you need to watch the game and take it in more than look on screen for stats!!
