Please where in my post that you are referencing did I say that Fulham were not the better side? They are a premiership side in all but status at present and they were a joy to watch and a reminder of how far we are away from that, it helps if you have the sort of quality that they can call on and a huge parachute payment. But if you don't convert your superiority into goals, then you might not win and that is exactly what happened.
Most fans are happy to see a BCFC team on a REGULAR basis put in 100% to a man, something missing for far too long at this club and a midfield not prepared to be bullied in every single game and that has been missing for even longer, the missing link is midfield creativity.
I agree Bakinson was poor and that might be an in for maybe Palmer? I also thought Weimann pushed back into a midfield role was almost as poor. We are at present lop sided, DaSilva/Baker and Pring cover well for each other, but Tanner was left with little or no cover because Weimann is allowed wander around all over the place, nobody can question his commitment or energy but I have never seen him as a midfielder, he simply does not understand the roll and it also makes a big miss in the opponents penalty area. Lets be honest yesterday proved how much we missed Massengo on that right side.
On Wednesday I would rest Martin, whose passing in the 2nd half was wasteful (but he did win more than his fair share of flick ons). Put Wells and Weimann up front, Palmer in the central midfield role in place of Bakinson and put Williams on the right side of midfield to provide Tanner with better cover, I think it might balance us more.
On another note I will be surprised if Baker is fully fit, he pulled up after his wonderful last ditch tackle late on and was visibly wincing every time he kicked the ball, hopefully not serious.
