It was a really good win - they outplayed the Peterborough youngsters man for man. Most of them were from the under 18's as well and young Troy Perrett looks quality on the ball.
You’ve got to see the highlights clip on club web site of a totally mad game in the U-18’s at Millwall. 8-4 home win with all our goals scored by Mannie Barton.
These boys look so young playing against a Millwall side that looked physically bigger than them. I particularly liked our third goal though. U18 HIGHLIGHTS | MILLWALL | Cardiff (cardiffcityfc.co.uk)
Younger than that. Congrats to the U15s. https://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/news/citys-u15s-crowned-efl-floodlit-cup-winners
Like the 21s, the 18s seem to like their high scoring games. 5-4, with us getting 3 penalties. https://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/video/player/0_e7i655x4
21s beat Avon Lido. Good result given quite a few of them are in Austria. Some good goals. The centre forward is a big lad. I think it was Reindorf. Fine pair of shoulders. A bit of the Leo Fortune- West about him. https://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/video/player/0_q75fkpvf
21s draw 1-1 with Weston super mud. Chances both ends, WSM miss a penalty. Great save from the city 'keeper. WSMvsCardiffU21Highlights270724 | Cardiff (cardiffcityfc.co.uk)
Good post sir. I was wondering what happened to the youngsters during the close season. The one's not in or around the first team squad for the pre season friendlies.
I've seen our 9 in the last 2 games. Quite a lump, and puts it about. Tenacious and looks a decent players. As you alude to, with the youngsters up with 1st team pre-season it'll be far from full strength.
Good win for the 19s. A nice style of play as well. U19 HIGHLIGHTS | OXFORD | Cardiff (cardiffcityfc.co.uk)
21s beat Ponty 3-1 to progress to the next round of the Nathaniel MG Cup. Reindorf hat-trick. He's looked capable of goals in a couple of the games I've seen highlights of. He is a lump, but looks quick and skilful as well.
Highlights of the Ponty game. Worth a watch. Could just be a highlights reel for Reindorf. https://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/video/player/0_ghsaw2u7
There are a few players who have shown up well in recent highlights. The thing I've noticed about a few of them is their ability to pick a pass and the weight of pass. Luey Giles (the cross for Robinson's second in mid week) and Kpakio (the weight of some of his passes have been sublime) both fit in that category. And they would be in the 21s if they weren't with the first team. Suggests the coaches are doing something right.
