Just watching Burton v Brum and can't help thinking that even at this early stage, just some sensible investment and support of the manger would have had us safely in the Top 6 at season end...
Do you know how many times the kids already in the Hull City youth system have used the Airco, how many kids outside of the youth system have been given quality sporting education, and on how many occasions?
Thought Burton did well second half, but it looked like an FA Cup game. They'll struggle this season, as soon as Aikins and Irvine do one they'll be up slack alley.
I'll bet It's mainly used for kids parties via the Tigers Trust. We've been to about half a dozen now.
At the moment he's not a champions league player but he is well above average and a good premier league player.he is still improving and if he can take a few more of the chances he gets then the sky's the limit for him.
Having read what the manager has said on the HDM site if he is not backed we will be looking for a new manager after the transfer window has closed.
If he ever becomes a standout player in the champions league I will eat my hat. He looked steady in central midfield for us in the premier league. Capable and effective, nothing special. His ability and value has been massively over inflated IMO.
That may or not be true Bob, one thing that I'm wondering is whether the real reason that Sam hasn't already gone is because boy blunder knows that it would be a player too far, and that it would push Slutsky over the edge, whilst taking any potential Abramovic/Allam affiliations with him. I can't think of any other logical reason that he's not already accepted an offer that has reportedly exceeded his magical £10M figure.
2 weeks from now the window shuts, in my opinion we are missing 7 or more players minimum. Can we see it changing? Whilst hand on heart my passion for my local club never wavers but my enthusiasm has. I sadly cannot get excited this season......... what a fu**ing mess! Ehab Oyston.....what are you doing??
I think if the money was promised to Slutsky he wouldn't have a problem with it, particularly if it's £15m or so. There is so much he could do with a pile of cash like that.
Reading the article in the hull daily mail by Phil Buckingham published late last night , get the feeling that Slutsky maybe about to walk in the next week or so, the toxic two sacked Nick Barmby for saying less, it looks/sounds like he's had enough.
There is absolutely no way he walks. He's wanted this opportunity for a long while. It may be far from ideal but he certainly won't walk. Business will get done, but as it always seems to be with Boy Wonder it'll be very late in the day.
