It's very rare that only one bid is made. It's very rare that Ehab turns down the money. Bids bring other clubs out of the woodwork. If he goes the money won't be reinvested.
Generally, I switch off as soon as the final whistle of the last game has blown, and don't take an awful lot of interest in pre-season activities. This summer I've been really busy and have taken even less notice than usual, so when I read the teamsheet for the Villa game I was like "Who's he.." and "Where's so-and-so gone?". Where can I see a list of who has left, who's stayed and which new players have signed? Cheers.
For us, page 1 of the transfer thread. For everybody else, the BBC website has a pretty definitive list.
Then that's nothing we can control. Although Ehab here has turned down the money as we've rejected the bid.
When they were promoted the first time, Sky went behind the scenes and it showed Burnley ploughed all their promotion money into their facilities rather than the first team. They were hoping to yo-yo for a few years to keep building on their resources and infrastructure and that's certainly what they've done and look at what they have to show for it. West Brom did something similar nearer the beginning of the millennium.
Not transfer related but good news. I follow the EFL broadcast of live games for overseas fans how announced you can now pay to watch individual matches. As city don't have this you can sign up for free on the other clubs website and pay to watch the game. Starting this week with burton Albion Cost is 5 pounds a game enjoy
Unfortunately not available in the UK so not hugely relevant for anyone bar internationals. But yes, I've been tweeting about that and will do so each week with details pending each club's deal.
Bad choice of symbol It was more the fact that I'm not convinced we'll keep rejecting offers for him now that there's the potential to get a lump I'd rather we kept him
We sign Seb on a free which probably means Ehab is going to put $12m in his pocket for Clucas - hopefully I'm wrong
Could and should of been us. Crying shame. Instead it's loans, freebies and portakabins. What a wasted opportunity (x2). But hey, nobody tells the Allams how to run their business.
Err we were 40 million in debt when the Allams came in. How do you propose they could do all that when 40 million in debt. Where does the money come from? Far too easy to blame them for every thing. I expect you want to invest it all in players and pay down the debt and build a superb training facility.
The way Burnley are losing players, would you want to go to Burnley at this time? Robbo had the sense to turn them down and stay with us. If Burnley do offer on Clucas (big IF) then he might be wise to say no thanks.
