Not too fussed about Flint going to Brum but id be very happy with Joe Bryan as a replacement for Robertson.
I'd be very surprised if we spent decent money on another centre half. Someone like Mariappa would do us just fine.
Apparently the bids were sent from the Millennium Falcon from Han Solo acting on behalf of Birmingham City.
This would possibly be our worst loss, Sam could be a huge player for us over the next few seasons. If they allow him to leave I demand that Carmine organises a hit on that **** Ehab!
Selling players is always a difficult and a gutting time, especially when you see them as being talented. It's also been hard in recent years as we tend to sell our best players way below market value and don't reinvest that money elsewhere. When a player like Robertson or Maguire leave then you can at least be happy for them that they are moving on to better things. Premier League and Champions League winners. But when players leave to clubs of a similar or lesser stature, then it stings a lot more. Sometimes clubs manage to temporarily find the right chemistry and formular to stay in the Premier League. However, it is not sustainable and eventually they end up relegated. Swansea, Burnley, Sunderland, Norwich, Watford, Boro, West Brom and ourselves. I'm happy for a club like Burnley who prove that money isn't everything and a decent manager can really make the difference. But eventually he will leave and for Burnley, the guy is irreplaceable and Burnley will end up back in the Championship. So irregardless of the league we are in and the league Burnley are in. When they come sniffing for our players it smarts more than most. For me primarily because we have a greater infrastructure and much more potential. Plus, the style of anti football they play is so terrible that I feel sorry for any player who has to go there and endure it. I wouldn't blame Clucas for wanting to leave out circus but a move to Burnley would be terrible move that is beanthe him:
