I suppose it is up to him. PL football could be more of a lure. question.. is that 2m his price or is it a minimum of 2m?
re Huddlestone - this why we need to get a manager announced in place as soon as possible. A new manager can talk to the players and at least try to make them stay. Who is there currently at the club that can do this ? Johnny 'The Kit Man' Eyre ?
Reasonable point, I don't know whether Jake would like him there even though they are good friends. Jake always seemed to play better when Tom was not in the team, took more responsibility.
Why is it when we get offers for players they suddenly become indispensable? Tom really was no great shakes in the last promotion season. I'd honestly rather Myler stay for next season than him. We really need some dynamism, energy, pace, goals and bite in centre mid.
Huddlestone will go. He's 31 next birthday so he'll be thinking one more big contract left in him. If he does go to West Brom he can also look forward to another England call-up...
He'd be a very good signing for anyone like West Brom/Stoke/even Everton. Probably won't be a regular every week but certainly a handy player to have around
I agree with you that he will go, just don't know whether W. Brom is the best place for him. I doubt he will get an England call up though, he just doesn't have the pace needed these days, he never really had any, but at 31 he is only going one way, slower.
The West Brom reference was a dig at Southgate - calling up Livermore at the first opportunity when he left us.
He certainly did OK as a stand in, whether he could make it as a regular centre back I some how doubt. He is prone to making rash tackles and give away penalties and free kicks, as well as he is not that good in the air.
Have to say of those I expected to leave Davies and Thudd certainly weren't at the top of the list .. but with relegation comes relegation clauses .. the players speak with their agents and put the word out .. both Davies and Thudd have had highs and lows at the club.. got to say with Slutsky coming in I suspected Thudd may have been the ideal player for him but it seems it isn't to be .. if Thudd does move on I wonder if Evandro will be the man Slutsky turns to as the guy playing in front of the back four spreading the ball around .. no doubt twt
sarky ****....... I was wondering if paying the clause just meant that was his value or is theyd have to pay a fee on top of that.
Instead of those two clowns they might as well have had Morecombe and Wise. They couldn't have been worse.
