Have to agree. I don't think we'd be able to get in a rb of the same quality without paying huge amounts which I don't see us doing on a defender. And the jenkinson bellerin combo isn't good enough yet. We need to keep Sagna for another couple of years at least so if that means having to pay him for another year after that so be it. Plus I'm sure we could still sell him to a French team even in a couple of years time.
Of course we have been in the title race. Don't be an idiot for the sake of getting an argument going. We've lead the league for the majority of the season and up until the Chelsea game we were right in the mix. The draw against Swansea put what is likely the last nail in our title hopes with only a handful of games left in the season. You can't possibly say we haven't been in the title race as we have spent longer than any other team in the league leading that race. We may now have dropped out of the title race but to say we haven't been in it is just plain stupid.
By the way according to the daily mirror we have now offered a 3 year deal to Sagna due to the other clubs interested being willing to offer him a contract that long.
