    1.10 - DICKENSIAN 9/2 - 1 point - saver SUNDAY SOLDIER - 0.5 ew

All eyes are on the unraced fav - Godolphins 1 million pound buy WISE APPROACH who is as short as evens already with Buick booked - it will be a tough nut to crack.

A few horses in the line up already have debut wins but DICKENSIANS came at class 2 level and was done so in style by 2 lengths - looking best at the line. He also drifted across the track a bit so with that ironed out he is 100% the one to beat here.

Fav will clearly be a good one but Godolphins newcomers not having the best of times. We saw one last week that cost £500,000+ tail off last. He will need to be very good and very sharp to beat a run like DICKENSIAN produced on debut at Musselburgh.

There’s a few other debutants with tasty looking pedigrees and this is a deep race. Of the other EW options I think that Burkes SUPER SOLDIER 14/1 is the most likely improver. He won nicely on debut and although that was a class 5 - we at least know this one can run in straight line. Small saver!

    1.40 - TYRRENHIAN SEA 18/1 - 0.5 ew

Won for us at 18/1 last month beating a well fancied fav who went of 4/9. Too big a price to not have a bet here IMO. He’s an all weather horse really so I presume his price is due to the fact he runs on turf tomorrow. Lovely grey you won’t miss him - one of the most stunning horses in training IMO. Doesn’t owe us much and would be rude not at this price only 2lbs up for recent win.

    2.50 - BIG MOJO - 4/1 - 1 point win

We have to thank Scotty for getting us on to these horses early doors - old members will remember a few years back when scott gave us BIG EVS at 22/1 as info and that was the start of a special few years following that one - all around the world.

MOJO was unable to get up when tried in the US but had a G3 win and G1 entries. Probably not as good as BIG EVS ultimately but still one to keep a close eye on this season looks fair price for a bet at 4/1 !!

Main concern here is the 6 furlong trip. Clearly more suited to the 5f sprints.

    3.23 - GOOD EARTH 14/1 - 0.5 ew

This horse has made the group a lot of money. We know it well. Mark is round about right now - 2lbs higher than last winning mark - runs of 82 tomorrow. This horse has won for us off a mark of 89. So I know it’s more than capable of out running these odds!!!

Last run was best effort for a while. Showed signs of life in a class 3 when 3rd.

Drops to class 4 company today.

    A good EW bet !!!!

    VIP THURSDAY

Not getting too involved today guys - it’s GUINEAS weekend with the 3 day Newmarket starting tomorrow alongside a cheeky evening meet at Cheltenham.

Expect plenty of bets over the next few days!!

THREE DAYS LEFT of the PUNCHESTOWN IRISH FESTIVAL - if you want 5 days FREE VIP from the Irish line use the website link here https://sublaunch.com/irishline/checkout?coupon=PUNCHESTOWNFESTIVAL

    4.45 SOUTHWELL - KING OF YORK 10/1 - 1 point EW

Best price is 10/1 with 365 or you can take 15/2 and 4 places with Sky. This horse is enjoying a good spell at the moment, particularly over the 7 furlong trip which he returns to today. He has 5 career wins, 4 have come over 7f here at Southwell.

He ended a long losing run winning off a mark of 51 - consistency in his last few outings have seen his mark now at 63 but it’s well worth noting he has won off a mark of 68 in the past so he cannot be entirely ruled out here at his beloved Southwell.

    5.00 YARMOUTH - STELLENBOSCH 4/1 - 1 point win (Saver SAARISELKA 15/2 - 0.5 EW)

STELLENBOSCH drifted before going down by a head to favourite SWISS LIGHTNING 2 weeks ago at Newmarket. It was a solid run to say the least and Ryan Moore was headed in the final 100 yards by the favourite - he battled back gamely after being passed and although beaten by the best horse on the day - the form piece has to be considered stronger than the favourites win in a class 5 at Newcastle…

JOWDAH won that C5 by a neck whereas STELLENBOSCH ran in a class 2 affair. Our selection is proven on the ground with all 3 runs on good and all 3 runs hitting the frame. The money has come for JOWDAH who opened up at 5/1 and now a clear favourite at 2/1… Connections must be expecting a big run - they will need it to beat our selection who looks brill value at 4/1.

Definitely woth a saver bet on SAARISELKA here guys for a few reasons. The first being the value on offer with 365 - the horse is priced 15/2 but as short as 11/2 elsewhere… that’s a good indicator we are getting a good price. You can actually take 6/1 with 4 places with Sky (elsewhere is 6/1 with 3 places) I’m having my bet with the value at 15/2 on 365.

This horse probably has the most impressive win in the line up with a C4 fillies win in the maiden handicap at Newbury last year. She followed this up with a second place in a C2 but has been off track since (9 months at this point) - Oisin Murphy has been booked to ride here for Ed Walker - he’s still operating off a 21% strike rate (higher than any other jockey on the card )

    TOTAL POINTS 2.5

VIP GOLF - The CJ CUP Byron Nelson - starts at 3pm.

Scottie Scheffler is a mental price at 11/4 to win the tournament. He’s actually been boosted to 11/1 to be FIRST ROUND LEADER… Surely that’s the value if you can’t get away from Scottie here… we will look elsewhere for value. Seems ridiculous to back at 11/4 when theres over 100 players in the line up and we will get paid more for a place on the majority of the rest of the market….

    JORDAN SPIETH - 18/1

    DAVIS RILEY - 66/1

    SAMI VALIMAKI 80/1 CAMERON DAVIS 70/1 ALEJANDRO TOSTI 80/1 BYEONG-HUN AN 25/1

    VIP FRIDAY

    2.20 NEWMARKET - THE WACO KID 25/1 - 0.5 EW

Ryan Moore takes the ride on COSMIC YEAR who has been smashed throughout the week and looks to go off in this race as short as 8/11. There’s big plans for this horse with the G1 Irish Guineas later this month and then an entry in the St James at G1 at Ascot. It’s one from the tracker we know it’s a decent one. The price you probably want to be taking today if keen on this one is the 4/1 for Irish Guineas in a few weeks time. A big run today will likely slash that price even shorter. There’s obviously little value for a bet today and he’s not exactly a banker in a race like this either.

I’m taking a chance on THE WACO KID 25/1 who is back down to 7 furlongs where he won here at Newmarket in September. He was then ambitiously tried in the Breeders Cup Juvenile in the Del Mar in November (near last in that) before running in the Craven last month (won by FIELD OF GOLD) - he’s entitled to improve for the Craven run - he did lead the race just his challenged faded in the final furlong, this suggests a trip back down to 7f will be helpful. Big price IMO with Tom Marquand retaining the ride.

    4.05 NEWMARKET - AMBIENTE FRIENDLY 11/4 - 1 point win

There’s quite a few questions at this point for AMBIENTE FRIENDLY but I’m going to ignore a few of those today to take on the Godolphin fav SILVER KNOTT who is 11/8. The fav is no slouch at all with 7 wins including one early in his career here at Newmarket but he’s been globe trotting since and delivering.

I would still argue that AMBEINTE FRIENDLYS second place in the Derby behind CITY OF TROY is still the best piece of form on offer. His run in the Irish derby G1 saw a blanket finish and a 3rd place. That’s probably a better form piece than anything of the favs as well… Season finished poorly with 3 lacklustre efforts but now returns to calmer waters and 1 mile 4 where he’s produced best efforts. Harry Davies is back in the UK after a spell Down Under where has been riding well. He also picks up a ride in the classic on WIMBLEDON HAWKEYE. Feels like he’s been around for ages but still a young jockey - very underrated in my opinion. He’s aiming for 100 winners this season - he should go close to that target and is a jockey to follow over the flat IMO.

    2.35 GOODWOOD - SHAGRAAN 10/3 - 1 point win

Clear excuses when 9th at Doncaster, wrong trip and too much traffic in that 22 runner race. 9th wasn’t a bad result when all factors are considered. SHAGRAAN is bred for 5 furlongs. We have followed this horse since debut as we knew the breeder of it well. This horse became the breeders first BLACK TYPE winner when he won at this course last year over the 5 furlongs. He also won again over the 5 trip at Haydock. Race fitness is a concern today. The horse now runs for the Appleby yard so we don’t get any info nowadays on current fitness in that regards but we know he’s a belting horse!!

    3.45 GOODWOOD - KNEBWORTH - 11/2 - 1 point win

Taking on the short price fav WALEEFY who is 5/4 and the one to beat. We had two nice wins from KNEBWORTH last season and have followed him for a while. Best over this distance but definitely not ideal ground. Had a word for this as well today so that’s enough for me to pull the trigger and have a go at this price.

    TOTAL POINTS SUGGESTED 3.5

i won 200 quid on Liverpool winning the title, i logged on to Paddy power where i place all my bets and no sign of it, thought it must be on skybet my back up account, logged in for first time in months, no sign of the money..
then i remembered Last summer i went into the bookies the old fashioned way, i must have put it on in a shop- spent a mad hour emptying all my tins and drawers, no sign of the ****ing slip, starting to get a bit panicky now..
then went online banking, looked back to last July- i deposited some money in BET365- found it, they must have had best odds at the time, you can tell im not used to winning them <laugh>
