VIP KEMPTON 4.35 KEMPTON - GALLANT 5/2 - 1 point win A better run was expected from GALLANT on debut but the form of that 5th place at Salisbury has worked out quite well with the likes of 3rd place SHOUT going on to win at Doncaster and 2nd place REDORANGE has gone on to win at Yarmouth since. WEST ACRE looks to go off odds on fav here so is the one to beat for the Balding/Murphy combo. Value is with GALLANT - we had a small word for him on debut, only expect the horse to improve and hoping the 7lb penalty on the fav will be a bit too much weight to carry at this stage. 5.10 SEDGEMOOR 15/2 & THAPA VC 11/1 - 4 paid - 0.5 EW Trying two in this race. Crowley is back on THAPA VC at a very nice price. Excuses can be made for the run at Chelmsford and then you are left with a double digit odds in horse who looks in excellent nick based n his Daoncaster and Haydock exploits overt the past few months. Hard to say no to for an EW at 11/1. SEDGEMOOR did not take well to the heavy ground at Newbury and he drifted out like a barge before the off which was a tell tale sign of things to come. He was expected to follow up his Haydock win and continue progression. He will get another chance today as he steps up in class. 6.55 AL RUFAA 11/2 - 4 paid 0.5 EW AL RUFAA has been backed into favourite now at 11/2 but we can still go EW and take 4 places at the price with 365. Solid form on the AW makes it easy to ignore his last attempt at Haydock. It’s just obvious at this point he needs to stick to the AW. Well fancied and backed tonight. TOTAL POINTS 2.5
100/1 winner of the first race at long champ and the favourite came second both the same trainer Obriens second string wins the second race And his favourite came nowhere going to be a long day
VIP TUESDAY Good morning guys we have two tips for today. Will have a look for the evening meet later at Southwell. 4.25 Leicester - GALYX 11/4 - 1 point win 4.00 Huntingdon - PLANET LEGEND 11/2 - 1 point EW GALYX has seen market support and is now joint fav for this race with LORD MELBOURNE. Our selection definitely has better form in these soft conditions and we also have the benefit of a 3lb claim from jockey George Bass. The real danger in the race could be Daniel Tudhope on STRESSFREE who won going away at Chester recently and he looks let off lightly with a 4lb rise. Now 4lbs below his last winning mark and with a 5lb claimer on board, PLANET LEGEND arrives off the back of a very solid second place at Worcester. He looks good value here and has a genuine chance to get back in the winners enclosure if he can run to the same stand he did in September. TOTAL POINTS 2.
Dads called Harry.... yesterday he missed a winner with Harry in its name... Tonight sat messing with a few pounds I saw Dashing Harry... had £4 on it at 9/1 Betfair and rang him to tell him id backed it for him.... !@!@.... then called him back to tell him I owed him £36...
Anybody wondering where the money goes out of football? if your first guess is agents, i would say correct. Kia Joorabchian has spent 12.5 million on four horses at the Tattersalls sales this week.
He has anew racing investor partner.. Marinakis from Notts Forest. Maybe he convinced him 4 legs are better than 2...
VIP FRIDAY CHEPSTOW I think fav FARLAND will win the first, best price is 10/11. The second race looks a lot tougher so not getting involved in the 2.10. 2.45 CHEPSTOW - REGATTA DE BLANC 6/4 - 1 point win DAMEOFTHECOTSWOLDS brings good form but carries a penalty for recent win. Others will need to find plenty of improvement, theres two at bigger prices that stand out to me and potential trackers for this year with decent runs today - CHERRY BRAVE 14/1 and FIREBALL FRENZY - both unexposed types that have shown potential in short careers so far. REGATTA DE BLANC sets a high standard here with an official rating of 121 and she has switched to the Paul Nicholls yard to continue her progression. Unbeaten in bumpers she’s had a near perfect start to chasing with only one blip being a second at Newbury. Won at Cheltenham by nearly 100 lengths in May - although that sounds impressive - the race did fall apart and there was only one rival left by the finish. Looks a very good horse - hopefully fit after the break for new yard. 3.15 CHEPSTOW - RYANS ROCKET 9/4 - 1 point win - (JUVENTUS DE BRION 7/1 0.25 SAVER) Lived up to his name with stylish 5 length Kempton win when last seen in May. Fergal O Brien is very keen on his chances and says jokingly and paraphrased “only the jockey can get this beat” - small drift out to 9/4 on 365 this morning makes this an attractive bet now and worth siding with. I was going to leave this face and go with JUVENTUS DE BRION but I’ve had main bet on RYANS ROCKET now that value is there. JUVENTUS is very lightly raced at this point but has shown promise in both starts - he’s a prospect that’s seen to decent effect on soft ground so he might have a chance here if the favs cannot these soft conditions as well. 4.25 - CHEPSTOW - ISAAC DES OBEAUX - 5/2 - 1 point (HAITI COULEURS 7/1 0.25 SAVER) Operates fine on heavy and soft ground and has done all his winning here at Chepstow. He has two soft wins and a heavy win here although no come over distance. End of the day this horse ran well in a Grade 2 event at Cheltenham last year when 3rd place. That form piece is by far the best on offer and with his track history here - he bodes the one to bear and I think his price is fair at 5/2. Again, I’ve done a small saver on chasing debutant HAITI COULEURS who is new in the tracker this season. Interested to see how he gets on now chasing after he really started coming into his own during the spring. Total points 4
