Flavour Maker is running in an hour or so. Might need the run today but it’s going well at home and is more than talented enough to win a race like this. Maybe a couple of pound just for interest. This isn’t a strong tip at all.
VIP Trackers. I’ve done small singles on these today ✅ 7.00 HAMILTON - PADDY THE SQUIRE 8-1 -0.5ew PADDY THE SQUIRE will need to hit the ground running today after a years absence. He makes his return in a class 3 tonight at Hamilton in a race that has plenty of unexposed talent in it. Our selection is a very good horse who has previous at higher levels than this. He might be too good for this lot. A lot rides on how he turns up today after breathing op. 2.45 LINGFIELD - SERENE SERAPGH 7-1 - 0.5ew SERENE SERAPH makes polytrack debut today. I have had a small go on her but I’m not very confident. She’s a lot to find on form today but is a class 2 winner this is a class 4 race. 4.30 NOTTINGHAM - MIDNIGHT AFFAIR 7-1 - 0.5 ew Dropped 2lbs after a 7th place effort in last weeks racing league. This is a lot easier. Price is fair. Small bet on. I have this horse in the tracker after it won early in career at Beverly in a class 2 conditional. The horse was given an opening mark of 88 which has seen him struggle. Now down to a mark of 80 I’m expecting to see improved runs from the horse and hopefully that starts today! 2.30 NOTTINGHAM - PITTSBURG 20-1 & STAR START 8-1 - 0.25 EW Can’t really say no to PITTSBURGH at this price but I’ve had to reduce the stake size as this is an amateur jockey race and he’s gone from 8-1 to 22-1 in space of an hour which isn’t ideal at all and is mostly likely ground related as he’s running best on soft. STAR START is the other track I have in this race. Nearly collected from this one at Beverley from a big price - we are running 1lb higher than that mark today but our 3lb claimer might give us a chance to go one better. Not a race to bet loads on and wouldn’t get involved if i didn’t know these two horses well. Total points - 2
Much better is expected from Impatiently today. Could run into a place but they’ll certainly not be pushing it as handicaps to come after today. So probably one for next time. I think Gentle Ellen could be a good each way shout at Hamilton. Most bookies paying 4 places and it’s currently 8/1.
VIP WEDNESDAY We have had 12 second places in the past 7 days for VIP. Very annoying for me so I’m sure it’s the same from a members perspective. Frustrating to hit the bar so often but it shows we are tipping well… luck is a big factor in racing and we haven’t had much of it. 2.15 - BEVERLEY - BELLA LOVE 10/3 - 1 point win BELLA LOVE is surprisingly not the favourite here over PROSPERITAS who are both well bred 2 years with the latter probably pick from a breeding perspective. For me BELLA LOVE has shown promise on all 3 starts so far. She is still a maiden but yet to finish outside the top 3. This is a drop in class for Craig Lister’s horses who was narrowly denied in a class 4 last time out. It’s worth noting that Craig has BELLA LOVE entered in a listed contest after this race - you would expect the horse to be winning class 5 level events if the trainer believes it capable of performing at listed level in a months time… 3.30 SALISBURY - THE PARTHENON 11/8 - 1 point win Ryan Moore has two rides today he rides for Crisford in the 3.00 with SHOUT who carries a penalty for his C&D win last month. He’s the one to beat in my opinion despite the drift but I’ve been told that GALLANT is a very good prospect and one to keep an eye on. (Smashed in already and we have missed the price for a bet from 8/1 this morning into 7/2) There’s also been a big move for NASCIMENTO who is now fav. It’s a tricky race to work out as there’s another unraced one to keep eye on NAANAS SPARKLE who is 33/1 (all other bookies) on debut but as short as 20/1 on 365. A race to keep a close eye on and I’m sure it will produce numerous future winners from it. Moore is here today to ride THE PARTHENON for the boss AOB. There is a listed race over in Ireland today at Gowan they have entries in so it’s clear this horse and race is priority for the team. Up in trip this Kingman colt won his first group race at Gowan Park in June but he’s not the finished article by any means with only 3 runs so far. This is the hardest race he’s been in so far - only 3 runners but both worth rivals with expensive Kameko and Frankel colts that he will need to beat here today over the mile trip. 4.30 SALISBURY - FRANCOPHONE 7/2 - 1 point win & OH SO GRAND - 8-1 - 0.5 EW Four horses sit at the top of the market with prices ranging from 3/1 - 9/2 for this listed race for the fillies. I’m pretty sure the only previous listed winner in the line up is FRANCOPHONE who flopped when last in the G1 at the Curragh most recently. She should bounce back with a good run today. SEA OF ROSES came in behind TIFFANY at Newcastle and has Oisin Murphy booked today. You also have RAINBOWS EDGE who is unbeaten at 3-1 and jumps up a few classes today - possibly a bit too soon? FRANCOPHONE drops back to calmer waters and has a 4lb weight allowance over a few rivals due to being a younger horse. It should give her an advantage over those at the top of the market and could be the difference maker. I’ve gone with Crisfords horse OH SO GRAND as a small saver. We have had a few wins on this one already. She won 3 in a row including the winter oaks at Lingfield (class 2) and she did so in style. She had 3 months off came back at Newcastle but it was a flat run. She was 10th out of the 14 runners. I think she has the potential to be group horse but she has a lot to prove here today. I’ve got this through, they’re more confident than me. I’ve seen Arctic lately and his coat isn’t gleaming like it was when he won and I think he’s possibly ate a little too much. I’m watching without a bet for interest. Good luck if anyone plays.
