Hey guys not that much from me today only fancy a few at Haydock. I should have one more at Carlisle.

With it being Easter Weekend we will be tipping on Monday (Tuesday will be day off) and then from Wednesday 3rd April I’ll have everyone in the new group for HORSES/GREYHOUNDS moving forward.

The best racing this weekend is at MEYDAN today they have NINE GROUP races most of them GROUP 1 and all the dirt superstars from Japan, USA, UK , Frane and Ireland are clashing in some of the best flat races of the year so far. This meeting has been covered in full by Ray - i’m sure there will be a few FREE Tips on the channel if anyone wants to follow. I really fancy LUXEMBOURG 8-1 in the 3.10 MEYDAN and HENRY ADAMS 9-1 in the 1.50. You also have AUGUSTE RODIN back in the 4.00 in arguably his trickiest task yet. He’s only 15/8 to win but today is his chance to really show his class if he can get the better of this field. The Japense horse is very good, EMILY UP JOHN runs (no frankie on) and even Alex Ferguson will be making an appearance with SPIRIT DANCER who will look to follow up Group 1 success off a big price of 20-1… I’ll stop rambling - here's the worldwide channel for the full meeting and there's also Group 1 racing in Japan that has been covered.

    VIP TIPS:

    2.05 HAYDOCK - BRENTFORD HOPE 2/1 - 1 point win

Ste has tipped THE CHURCHILL LAD 6-1 for this race. He’s the only C&D winner in the line up, arrives in good form and will likely try to make all in this race. I much prefer the favourite BRENTFORD HOPE who I think is good value still at 2/1. He steps up in class after a convincing win over HORN CAPE at Newcastle but he does have solid runs earlier in his career at Listed level. Seems to be improving with each race and I think he will be too good here on these terms. Today's ground is soft, his last run was on heavy, winning whilst going away at the line.

    2.40 HAYDOCK - JUDICIAL LAW 13/2 1 point EW BALKARDY 28/1 0.5 EW 5 paid withh SKY.

SKY paying 5 in a 13 runner race here so taking a chance with a small saver on BALKARDY who has really solid and consistent form this year if you draw a line under his last run which was a dud finishing 5th. Other than that he’s been top 3 in his last 5+ races and running well for Evan Williams team. I’ve met Evan at Haydock when attending as an owner of one of the horses he trained, they often seem to out run the prices but this race is by far the deepest waters BALKARDY has found himself in to date.

JUDICIAL LAW is a stronger fancy with his head gear back on which yielded to his winning tally when getting up at Kelso. JUDICIAL LAW has put a few big runs together in handicaps this season, notable at Cheltenham in October. He was 5th at Newbury when last seen but that 5th doesn’t tell the full story, he made two bad mistakes in the run in and probably would have run the race with how he was shaping up at that point. With 5 paid and 13/2 on offer with Sky I think it’s a good EW bet for today.

    4.25 HAYDOCK - HILL OF TARA 7/1 - 4 paid - 1 point EW

I think SKY are the only bookie offering 4 places. She is 8/1 for 3 places paid elsewhere. The Venetia Williams yard is in good form and this one has won 4 times already this season from only 6 starts. Should have no problem with today's soft ground.

KEMPTON - 0.5 point EW singles

    2.05 - MYSTIC PEARL 6/1
    2.40 - OLD PECULIER 14/1
    3.15 - AQWAAM 10/1
    4.55 - FRESH 12/1

MYSTIC PEARL was on the up last summer and landed a fillies Listed event over 1m at Sandown last July. Ran creditably in a couple of Group 2’s in Dubai this year, this isn’t as demanding for her and the addition of cheekpieces could help her claims further.

OLD PECULIER has improved significantly since having blinkers fitted and completed a Dundalk hat-trick in December/January. Improved on that form when runner-up in a Class 2 at Lingfield finishing just under 2 lengths behind PENZANCE 5 weeks ago. Still looks like he’s not done improving yet and holds each way claims.

AQWAAM has had a pretty solid year and reached a new level throughout a fairly busy AW campaign. Produced late to take a valuable handicap in good style at Lingfield 8 days ago, although he’s up another 4lb here he’s going well and has to be respected.

FRESH hasn’t been in the greatest of form lately and only showed flashes of his old form throughout his 2023 campaign however, he’s now dropped into this Class 3 for his reappearance for the fourth consecutive year. He looks to be down to a good mark now 7lb below his last winning mark and he has too much talent to ignore at this level.

    CHELMSFORD - 1 point win

    ROXANNE 7/4

Won a 9-runner at Baden to keep the unbeaten record in tact and extended it to 3 unbeaten. Been off for 174 days and makes yard debut after leaving Markus King, this current mark of 80 might be underestimating her talent and could end up proving to be a fairly lenient mark. Holds main claims.

Total points suggested - 3 points.

    2.30 HEREFORD - FAMOSO 4-1 - 1 point win

In the 2.30 BOOK OF VERSE 66-1 runs. This horse place last year for us at a huge price some got 250/1. Poor form lately but looks to go off a massive price if anyone fancies a few pennies on. The one to be betting on here in my opinion is FAMOSO. I mentioned this horse last week with the forecast with winner FLASH GORCOMBE. (BOOK OF VERSE was also in the race and tailed of 30+ lengths behind..) - FAMOSO went off at 11/8 that day so I think 4/1 is a really good price for him as he runs of the same mark. It would be easy to side with the fav after he routed last time but FAMOSO should pose a tougher nut to crack and I’m hoping the 7lb penalty gets the better of him.

    3.00 - SILVER ATOM - 13/2 - 4 paid - 1 point EW

I’ve tipped SILVER ATOM a few times and thought this horse would have shed its maiden tag over hurdles by now. He was 4th here at Hereford last time and goes off an unchanged mark unfortunately. Would have like to see a few pounds shedded but it’s not happened. We do have a 3lb claimer on but she is the regular rider. There’s lots of encouragement to be taken from the fact that SILVER ATOM has 3 very solid efforts in defeat and is well familiar with the track. The 4ths and 3rd places picked up here previously have been close affairs. 4 places paid so I reckon this is a good each way bet that has a chance to win if luck goes his way.

Will have a look at the other cards in the morning.

Have a good evening all ✅

    DAY ONE TIPS
1.45 AINTREE - CLOSE BROTHERS NOVICE CHASE - GRADE 1
    GINNYS DESTINY 4/1 - 1 point win
All eyes on favourite GREY DAWNING who is looking to go off odds on on the day. Very
impressive when beating our selection at Cheltenham but a very short price. The value obviously
lies with GINNYS DESTINY here at 4/1 whose jumping over fences is very impressive. I think
GREY DAWNING ran a hard race, idled towards the end and might be vulnerable. You would
imagine that GREY DAWNING will handle the ground better than GINNYS DESTINY based on
previous form but I still think GINNYS DESTINY is very good value to take on the fav.
    2.20 AINTREE - BOODLES JUVENILE HURDLE - GRADE 1
    KARGESE 7/2 - 1 point win
Another Grade 1 here and it’s a juvenile affair with SIR GINO heading the top of the market at 5/6.
I’m sorry but there’s too many questions to back this horse at 5/6. Yes, he looks very good when
beating BURDETT ROAD in the Grade 2 at Cheltenham and his final furlong was rapid. However,
it’s hard to be confident with anything coming out of the Henderson yard at the moment. There’s a
chance he has his horse right for the meeting, and I believe that will be the case if he’s running the
big names here. With that said 5/6 is so short when you have the likes of KARGESE in the race.
KARGESE was a Cheltenham selection denied by MAJBOROUGH in the Triumph Grade 1. That
form is better than anything SIR GINO has in the locker in my opinion so taking the 7/2 for a horse
we know can run at this top level and we know is race fit makes more sense. I’m under no
illusions is we get a SIR GINO at 100% he’s going to be hard to best…
2.55 AINTREE - WILLIAM HILL BOWL CHASE - GRADE 1 - 3 paid with SKY
    GERRI COLOMBE 7/4 - 1 point win
    EW Selection - BRAVEMANSGAME 10/1 - 0.5
Race of the day and a good line up which sees another one of Hendersons horses that I bloody
love and have to tho against in SHISKIN. It’s the same premise really as SIR GINO, I think it makes
sense to side with horse we know are definitely fit. SHISKIN does not come without quirks,
whether its unseating the rider, refusing to race, winning easily, pulling up, falling or romping - he’s
just a massive talent and a massive question mark.
Considering I was so bullish on CORBETTS CROSS I can’t believe I don’t fancy him here. I think
this one is mainly a price decision. I could of talk myself into an EW bet when priced at 7/1 but
there’s been a surprising amount of support for him to the extent he’s nearly the same price as the
favs at the top of the market at 7/2. He won at Cheltenham by 17 lengths and it was very
impressive but we are dealing with horses now at the upper echelons of the sport and that’s why
my selection here is GERRI COLOMBE. I think this horse is a worthy favourite at 7/4 and still an
ok price when alls taken into consideration. CORBETTS CROSS needs to improve, SHISKIN is an
unknown entity but GERRI COLOMBE is the Gold Cup runner up who would sport an unbeaten
and unblemished record if not for GDC (and The Real Whacker beat him once) - other than that
he’s not seen defeat. If he runs to his best standard then he can prove he is the best horse in the
race. This is after all a race he has already won, last year, and it was impressive.
It’s pretty clear to me the overpriced horse in the race is BRAVEMANSGAME. He’s not hit the
standards expected of him this season letting punters down from short prices on each occasion.
Don’t write him off yet, he’s a very good horse, not 100% suited to the Aintree track but is more
likely to handle the ground than others.
    3.30 AINTREE HURDLE - GRADE 1
    BOB OLINGER 7/4 - 1 point win
    EW Selection LUCCIA 11/1 - 0.5 EW
Not fancying LANGER DAN even though he won for us at Cheltenham, he will a good race most
likely but other than debut he’s never had back to back wins and I’m not sure he’s good enough
to win a Grade 1 race (prob live to regret saying that)
LUCCIA on the other hand definitely is. She finished 3rd behind IRISH POINT and STATEMAN in
the Champion Hurdle. That form is arguably as good as anything the favourites have on offer. She
also have form in the Group 1 novice here last year where she was 3rd. I think she is well
overpriced again and worth a small EW.
The two at the top of the market can come down to a coin flip but one for me that BOB OLINGER
WINS. They are pretty much the same price but IMAPIRE ET PASSE is the one that needs to
reverse the form after finishing 5 lengths behind OLINGER and STATEMAN in the Irish Hurdle
recently I think BOB OLINGER will prove good enough to beat him again.
    4.05 AINTREE FOXHUNTERS - NATIONAL COURSE - CLASS 2 - 5 paid SKY
    0.5 EW
    TIME LEADER 7/1
    TEA CLIPPER 25/1
Given the level of form he had shown in good handicaps earlier this season he’s been rather
disappointing in two Hunter chases in January and February. If he can bounce back and get near
his best then he will have solid claims today but it’s going to be a tough race to do that in. TEA
CLIPPER HOLDS each way claims at a big price.
After running a massive race for us at Cheltenham, it would be rude not to give TIME LEADER a
chance here. 3rd a 50/1 at Cheltenham, he made and all and gave it a good go.
    4.40 AINTREE - BROTHER CHASE - CLASS 1 - 5 paid SKY
    0.5 EW
    HELTENHAM 8/1
    HOMME PUBLIC 16/1
HELTENHAM has continued to improve with each run. Tends to stalk his rivals and pounce late.
This is his toughest assignment to date but he will put a bold showing together in his bid for the
    hat trick today.
HOMME PUBLIC is Multiple winner over hurdles and found further improvement when switched
to chasing. He’s won 3 of his 4 Chase starts and runner-up on the other occasion. Posted a
career best when landing a 5-runner handicap Chase at Doncaster last month. This is a much
more competitive race but can’t be ruled out with further progression still on the cards and holds
    each way claims.
    5.15 AINTEREE - COIN MARES - CLASS 1 - 5 paid SKY
    0.5 EW
    NALA THE LIONESS 40/1
    SPECULATRIX 18/1
    JUBILEE 10/1
3 longshots for this final race of the day. Despite still yet to win a race NALA THE LIONESS has
shown she has potential with 3 runner up spots. She looks a big price here as for me is a horse
that still has room to improve. They have tried her with the visor today and she could well sneak
    into the places.
SPECULATRIX showed a good attitude to win a tough bumper over in Ireland in February. He
went off at 4/6 and looked well beat before fighting back to hold on at the line. That debut and
experience should see a better horse today. This Elliott inmate has plenty of winners in his family
lineage and one I’ve had tracked since the first run.
Finally Harry Cobden rides JUBILEE ALPHA and 10/1 looks a solid price for this one who made a
winning debut at Wincanton in February. Another that ran green, looked in trouble a few furlongs
out before class shone through, he got back on the bridle and stayed on well in the end. Another
that caught the eye on debut and went into the tracker.

    Aintree day 2

Thanks to ste who is attending tomrorow and covered these tips for us! I will have a few out in the morning ✅

    1 point wins.
    0.5 ew bets

    1345- Inothewayyurthinkin 9/4 & Broadway Boy 7/1 ew

Inothewayyurthinkin looks the one to beat here form wise having finished behind the talented Gaelic Warrior in December when second before putting up another good performance behind that horse nto when third in a grade 1 at Limerick, ran no sort of race on his first start this year dropped into a grade 3 but I think that suggests he's better on the sort of ground he'll get tomorrow as he won nto on soft and his first two career wins came on heavy so that should be in his favour here, will need to prove himself back into a grade one but he's probably got more to come and Mark Walsh jumps back on board who has 2 wins and 2 places from 4 in the saddle. Having a saver on Broadway Boy as well at 7s who's form over fences reads 12113 and has winning form at this course, was always going to be tough when third lto but he could bounce back with cheekpeices on for the first time.

    1420- Champagne Twist 11/1 ew

Tough race this and I was originally looking at the Skelton two but I've decided to ditch them and go for Ben Pauling's runner Champagne Twist, has improved with each run since joining this stable with his form reading 4211 the latest win coming last month at Sandown (third that day has won since), up 7lb for that in a tougher race but he could well have more to come and I think he has a decent chance of landing the hatrick with Ben Jones in the saddle who's looking to make it 3-3 in the saddle, yard had a winner here today as well in the last which gives a little more confident.

    1455- Dysart Enos 9/2

Wanted to tip Mythical Power here but he let me down at the Cheltenham Festival lto and although this flatter track will probably suit him better I'm going for a bit more value and backing course winner Dysart Enos, was a non runner at the festival due to being lame but she's unbeaten under rules and if fit and ready I think she can gain compensation here if handling the heavier ground at a decent enough price for the Fergal O'brian yard.

    1530- Easy game 16/1 ew

No ten year old has won this race since 2004 and he's going to have to improve to win here but he goes well fresh and proved himself on testing ground lto when winning a grade 2 over 2m 4f at Gowren Park last September with the runner up Gentlemansgame winning a grade 2 nto and third that day was Envoi Allen who is much shorter than the selection for this, Mullins has just the one runner in this and I think he's over priced at 16s.

    1606- Shakem Up'arry 13/2 ew & Ciel De Neige 16/1 ew

Struggled with this race and there's only just eachway value with this one currently but I think Arry's took his form to a new level this year winning two class 1s with one coming on heavy ground which can only be a plus and I don't think a 6lb rise was to harsh, jumps well and although there's others in the field with stronger claims I think Shakem Up'arry has a good chance of landing the hatrick and getting a win at this course at the third attempt. Ciel De Neige won four times for Willie Mullins and also went close in a grade 3 behind French Dynamite in 22 but he's been out of form a long time now showing next to nothing on his three starts since switching yards but he's still owned by JP and these poor runs have put him 22lb lower than when running reasonably well in this last year before falling and he has winning form on heavy ground, obviously needs a big turn around but with 6 plus places on offer I think he's worth a small eachway shot.

AINTREE DAY TWO - NATES TIPS

JONBON / MYSTIKAL POWER - 1 point double.

STE has covered the majority of the card but there’s a few non runners and he left me the last two races.

    2.20 - JANGO BAIE 10/1 - 1 point EW - SONIGINO 20/1 0.5 ew SKY PAYING 7
    2.55 - MYSTICAL POWER 10/11 - 1 point win
    3.30 - JONBON 5/4 - 1 point win
    4.40 - READING TOMMY WRONG 7/2 - 1 point win EW - KYNTARA 12/1 - 0.5 EW SKY PAYING 4
    5.15 - GO DANTE 11/2 -1 point EW AFADIL 10/1 - 0.5 EW JUNGLE JACK 50/1 - 0.5 EW - 6 paid

I track 3 horses in this 2.20 race. The favourite KATIERA who has seen a big market move overnight and now too short at 9/2 for an EW. We then have SONIGINO at 20/1 who was tipped at Cheltenham - he was pulled up with a bad run but his record at Aintree is very good. Won here last time on heavy ground. With that said my main fancy is JANGO BAIE who I think still has plenty of improvement in him. No harm in a small saver on SONIGINO who should at least perform better for us today than he did at Cheltenham.

In the 2.55 it looks like a race between MYSTICAL POWER and FIREFOX who I think will make up the Forecast bet here. MISTERGIF also runs, who placed for us at Cheltenham but I can’t see anything else in the line up being good enough to beat the top two in the market. I’m a big fan of FIREFOX and he is good value here at 9/4 but I have to go with the horse I think wins the race despite it being a very short price.

I rarely tip JONBON but I do think he wins this race today. He’s unbeaten at Aintree. Ran well all year, would be unbeaten if not for a mistake at Cheltenham. Very good horses in this race but JONBON wins it in my eyes.

I’m going to give READIN TOMMY WRONG another go as his Cheltenham run was too bad to be true. Quite a lot to prove today for this one who looked a very bright prospect before hitting the wall half way through his Cheltenham race. Should be no surprise I’m tipping KYNTARA again. Although it’s been costly to follow this horse is a decent little animal and was only just denied by MONMIRAL at Cheltenham for a big 18/1 winner for the group. Looks a good price again today and already has a very impressive win under the belt here at Aintree.

Finally throw a few darts in this final race. AFADIL is our tracker horse that has been good to us with multiple wins. I’m sticking with him again today and I think 10/1 is a fair price for an EW bet with up to 6 places on offer. JUNGLE JACK at 50/1 looks a bit overpriced here and might be worth trying with a few pennies for a place. Near the top of the market is GO DANTE - I’ve tipped this horse a few times, including his last run that was a nice win at Sandown. Flopped when last here but has improved massively since last at Aintree. Should give a very good account today.

    TOTAL POINTS SUGGESTED - 6.5 - (7.5 with double)

    GOOD LUCK ALL

Has won it before... very shrewd trainer...

I backed Vanillier at 25/1 about 4 months ago.... and have had a saved Adamant Approach at 66/1 and just backed Capodanno at 50/1 on Betfair.... that'll do me.. I spent my betting money on Omur to score today..

    VIP SATURDAY

DOUBLE - 1 point - BRIGHTER DAYS AHEAD / FOUND A FIFTY (both second at Cheltenham - keeping faith with both think they are very good horses)

    1.20 AINTREE - 7 paid sky - 0.5 EW
    CLASSIC CONCORDE 40/1
    BOLD ENDEAVOUR 25/1
    MONMIRAL 11/1

WEST BALBOA looks a very short price to me but does arrive on back of a good win, deffo the one to beat. With 6 places paid I think it’s worth trying some big prices. CLASSIC CONCORDE is a prolific winner, won for us the other month at 20/1. Always underestimated in the market and looks a big price, he’s in deeper waters than usual but has ability to improve further. BOLD ENDEAVOUR looks big to me at 25/1. Ran well at Cheltenham behind MONIMIRAL who is our final pick for the race. 22 runners in this one so need to have a few darts if we are to have a chance at the winner. Lots of familiar names in this one and a good opener.

    1.55 AINTREE - 3 paid
BRIGHTER DAYS AHEAD 1/1 1 point win
    ILL ATLANTIQUE 5/1 - 0.5 EW

Price is now very short for BRIGHTER DAYS AHEAD but I’m not surprised, especially as CALDWELL POTTER is out - this is a very good horse and should hopefully prove that with a grade 1 win tomorrow. This has caused a collapse in ILL ATLANTIQUES price who is now only 5/1. If you want to try something speculative here I track BUGISE SEAGULL who is 50/1… Gordon Elliots BRIGHTER DAYS AHEAD should be winning this race and price is reflection of that.

    2.30 AINTREE - 5 paid -
    THE KING OF RYHOPE 4/1

I’ve changed my mind on KINONDO KWETU as I don’t think it will get the ground. Really waiting for this horse on GOOD ground and then I think it’s going to be a really good bet. Big price at 20/1 but I think he will struggle. I might add an EW for this tomorrow but for now I’m having a go on KING OF RYHOPE who has been backed into favourite alongside CREDIBILIY. Last time out KING OF RYHOPE looked well on top and would have won in my opinion if not for a bad mistake. This race looks easier than that one and I think he has a big chance.

    3.05 AINTREE - 4 paid - 0.5 EW
    CHAMP 33/1
    HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE 11/2

I have given CHAMP a hard time in the past but his record at Aintree is good. A win and a 3rd place. His record fresh is good. His price is massive. He’s not been awful this season but we haven’t seen the best of him. Interesting fact, CHAMP has NEVER been double figures before - massive price for him tomorrow in my opinion. Has to be worth an EW bet with his record at Aintree.

After re watching HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE at Navan, you realise the horse beat some really good contenders including the likes of GALVIN , ASHDALE BOB and DELTA WORK. This one seems to have gone under the radar but has seriously strong Irish form in the book. It’s one of the least exposed of this bunch, we have seen what most are capable of and their limits. HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE has not finished improving and this is the chance to show he is capable at Grade 1 level.

4.00 AINTREE - GRAND NATIONAL WRITE UP OUT TOMORROW BY 11 am LATEST

    5.00 AINTREE - 3 paid
    FOUND A FIFTY 2/1 - 1 point win
    MATATA 14/1 - 0.5 EW

I’ve swapped out MASTER CHEWY for MATATA on a decision that comes down to price. A lot more value at 14/1 rather 8/1. With DJELO who also runs I feel they have been the yard stick for this division this season and we know all 3 well. I expect all 3 to put a good showing in. MATATA was 4th at Cheltenham in the Arkle where CHEWY fell. I reckon CHEWY would have taken 4th if not for that fall but MATATA still finished ahead of very good horses in a top class race.

FOUND A FITY was clearly ahead of the pack in that race and 4 lengths clear of IL ETAIT TEMPTS who roped home on day one. That is really top measure for FOUND A FIFTYS run and FIFTY was only best by GAELIC WARRIOR in that Arkle who quite frankly is a different class. Again FOUND A FIFTY is one I rate quite highly so he makes up the double with BRIGHTER DAYS.

    5.35 AINTREE - 4 paid
    MISTER MEFFIT 2/1 - 1 point win
    NO QUESTIONS ASKED 11/1 - 0.5 EW

The Pauling yard are smart with these bumpers and NO QUESTIONS ASKED looks a brilliant EW price as he makes his second run for the yard after an impressive winning debut. Huge step up in class but looks to have ability.

With that said there’s a clear favourite in this race and that’s Jonjo’s MISTER MEGGIT. Won his last race by 5 lengths without coming off the bridle and has had two impressive runs over the past 6 months. Exciting prospect that should deal with the field accordingly

    GOOD LUCK ALL

The last time APIARIST ran - he won for us at 40/1… (SP 28/1) - he’s back out for the first time since that run and he’s 50/1. I’ve had small go as the horses owes me nothing at this point. This race has stronger horses in it but it’s the same class so I think there’s potential to out run the price - he goes in the 3.30 at Newmarket.

There’s quite a few extra places on offer at Newmarket today so trying a few longshots

    1.55 NEWMARKET - NAVELLO 8/1 and SHALA ASKER 9/1 - 1 point EW wins - 5 paid

A lot of these horses in the line up are coming back after long breaks. SHALA ran on well into 4th last week and should well come on for the run. De Souza takes the ride from Hollie Doyle who is at Newcastle today and despite this being a step up in class from the last race SHALA has already won at class 3 of this same mark of 79. Main concern is the horse is best at 6 furlongs and can sometimes get going late (we saw this LTO) - will need to be a lot sharper to get the job done over this minimum trip.

NAVELLO on the other hand is a 5 furlong specialist with a multitude of wins at distance. Arrives on the back of a win at Wolves over 6 furlongs and with William Buick on board he could well have a say in this one. Another overpriced horse here with good EW claims.

    2.55 NEWMARKET - SLIP OF THE PEN 7/2 - 1 point win

I was keen to do an EW horse here but the more I look at the favourite the more I think
that the 7/2 is still good value despite this large field of 17 runners. Might need a bit of luck here out of the stalls but has looked a horse with plenty of talent on his first two visits to the track. He went off at 4/9 but couldn’t not get close in a listed race - he was caught out by the pace and left poorly positioned on the day. This is easier on paper but the big field can always throw up a surprise. With that said I think this on the evidence we have seen so far is clearly the best horse in the race. Hopefully gets job done and worth tracking as he could well end up in group company with a big run today. I have MAJESTIC tracker here if anyone wants an EW as there’s 6 places paid on Sky.

    VIP WEDNESDAY

Will be quite a busy day tomorrow as Cheltenham is on. I have 5 selections for Cheltenham that will be posted in the morning.

    KEMPTON

    6.00 - MOES LEGACY 4/1 - 1 point win - (one from Scott)

    NEWMARKET

    1.50 - WOBWOBWOB 20/1 & CHIPSTEAD 20/1 - 0.5 point EW - 6 paid SKY
    2.25 - EL CORDOBES 5/1 - 1 point EW - Money back if 2nd / 3rd.
    3.00 - REGAL REALITY 15/2 - 1 point EW - 4 paid SKY

In the 1.50, 6 places are paid with SKY and WOBWOBWOB looks a good price to me to try here EW. Most are making seasonal debuts and it’s a large field of 20. Mark Winn claims 3lb giving giving us a slight edge and the application of the visor should help. WOBWOBWOB looked absolutely pants on his most recent run at Doncaster but that ground was heavy and he’s a good ground horse. Conditions will not be 100% ideal for him but I expect him to go a lot closer than he did at Donny. He won the Silver Cup of a mark of 87, his marks back down to 89 and he has Winns 3lb claim. Big price with these places on offer. I track CHIPSTEAD in this race who has been threatening to win recently with some decent efforts. Crowley rides but it’s very difficult to win here from stall 19. Will require a good ride from Crowley but at 20/1, it’s another that looks a big price.

EL CORDOBES I’ve tracked since he was sold for 2 million guineas. He flopped his debut but followed up by winning a novice at Kempton where he looked in complete control of the race. This looks like it might be a very good horse when all is said and done but this prize money of £55,000 for this Listed contest won’t even hit the sides to pay back what was paid for the horse as a yearling. Buick is on board and this horse will get the chance to show us whether he’s actually any good or another expensive Godolphin flop. To win he will need to beat the French raider NARKEZ. Fabre and Mikeal Barzalona team up in an attempt to take this decent prize pool on offer. I’ve watched both his wins in France whilst doing my type up and he looks very smart so won’t be an easy task.

Ryan Moore rides REGAL REALITY who is back from a 5 month break. He’s won multiple Group 3 races and stands out as the value pick in what looks to be a very open Sefton Stakes. OTTOMAN FLEET who won this last year is the fav but I’m happy to try REGAL REALITY with 4 places on offer. It’s well worth noting at the back end of last year he was competing at Group 2 level and came very close to winning one at this track. All of his best wins and efforts have come with Ryan Moore on. It was Kingscote LTO where he disappointed and failed to justify his short price as fav - he didn’t run badly but was caught in a poor position mid race that cost him from being able to pass the winners finishing 4th. Good chance tomorrow!

    CHELTENHAM

Cheltenham place market is looking excellent today with 10+ runners in 6 of today’s 7 runners. Finally a proper filled out card. This means there’s plenty of extra places on offer but the races themselves are very competitive. I think it will be hard to find winners today - there’s not one easy banker that stands out across the card.

Would be easy to get carried away here. I’ve kept it to 5 main selections. Good luck if on - this meeting is always a tough one so approach with caution.

    1 point EW WINS

    2.05 - DOYEN QUEST 6/1 - 5 places
    2.40 - GEMIRANDE 8/1 - 5 paid
    3.15 - BRETNEY 9/1 - 6 paid
    3.50 - SUPREME GIFT 5/1 - 5 paid
    5.00 - BOLD REACTION 15/2 - 6 paid

Plenty of money has come for DOYEN QUEST who was 8/1 last night and now into 6’s. Still worth taking EW with 5 places here is one of the lesser exposed horses in this field for the Skeltons. Won very nicely last time and a step up in trip is likely to unlock further improvement.

In the 2.40 if you fancy a speculative bet DO YOUR JOB at 50/1 has to be considered a big price here. I can’t see the horse winning the race but he’s good enough to pick up the pieces and land a place. I think GEMIRANCDE is coming here off a good mark. He’s been disappointing of later but this is a good horse that should improve for his run at the Grand Annual at the main festival. These conditions are perfect for him today, the price is right and I can see a big run.

Original pick ANIMAL was withdrawn so I’ve gone with BRETNEY in the end for the Daly team. BRETNEY will need to make up for debut effort at Cheltenham when pulled up tamely at this meeting last year. Gone on to improve since then and form reads 32312 since he was last here. This is a horse that will go on good ground or soft and he’s obviously arriving in very good form.

I have 3 trackers in this 3.50 race but I think SUPREME GIFT has the best chance of the 3, HARBOUR LAKE doesn’t really have much form in the book but has won better races than this and if you do want an outsider - CALL ME LORD at 28/1 might be your horse today. Hendersons horse is now 11 but there’s still life in him and that was emphasised recently when he won a Class 2 over at Hereford. SUPREME GIFT is here after an impressive Ascot win. On that evidence he’s the one to beat today!

    VIP THURSDAY

DOUBLE - 1 point win
4.25 Cheltenham - SOMESPRING SPECIAL
    5.25 - Ripon - CLANSMAN
    CHELTENHAM

    Cheltenham :

    1.30 MAX OF STARS 13/2 - 4 paid - 1 point win
2.05 JUNIPER 3/1 & FLINTARA 8/1 - 3 paid - 1 point win and 0.5 saver
    2.40 NOTNOWLINDA 12/1 - 6 paid - 1 point win
    3.15 MALAITA 13/8 - 1 point win
    3.50 WYENOT 11/1- 3 paid -0.5 EW
    4.25 SACRE COUER 9/1 - 3 paid - 0.5 EW
    5.00 - NO BET

Another tough card at Cheltenham and Newmarket looks even hard today. Will have a couple for Newmarket out by 11.30.

1.30 MAX OF STARS 13/2 - 4 paid

1.30 - SKY are the only bookie offering 4 places in the first race and the consistency of MAX OF STARS stands out here. This will be his first race at Cheltenham and Brian Hughes is booked. For a champion jockey, how often do you actually see him at Cheltenham? MAX OF STARS last win was a class two juvenile at Market Rasen in September… since then he simply hasn’t ran a bad race (Aintree effort was a bit lacklustre on heavy ground) Notably his run in the listed race at Doncaster is probably one of the best pieces of recent form any horse has in the line up. Good each value for which is the theme of the day for most of these Cheltenham selections.

2.05 JUNIPER 3/1 - Saver FLINTARA 8/1 - 3 paid

I follow JUNIPER the favourite quite closely and Harry Cobden has enjoyed two fruitful rides this year on him already. He’s won two lesser efforts by nearly 30 lengths combined. This would likely be his main target for the season and Honeyball will have him ready. He was just denied this race last year by MY SILVER LINING, who ironically did him on the line. Excellent preparation leading into this for JUNIPER but undoubtedly a lot more competitive. I probably would have left this if not for the price. I feel the value is there at 3/1.

I really do fancy FLINTARA in this one and I’ve followed this horse closely for a while. This is the first run at Cheltenham for FLINTATA who has wins over hurdles on soft, good and heavy ground. Recent form looks very solid although in my opinion FLINTATA prefers a bit of give in the ground. It’s probably not 100% ideal but at least we know the horse is capable and has a win on good ground. Good price at 8/1 for a saver but I’ve talked myself more into taking the bet on JUNIPER today rather than FLINTARA who I feel is great value if she can repeat recent form here at Cheltenham.

2.40 NOTNOWLINDA 12/1 - 6 paid - 1 point win

Skeltons horse NOTNOWLINDA looks a nice price here. Not the stables first string, Harry rides the favourite COTTIE. We have Heidi Palin on ours who is a 7lb claimer, not a jockey I’m massively familiar with in all honesty. Hard to say no to NOTNOWLINDA at this price and 6 places paid. She should be able to place here at the least. I track PRETENDING in this race but too short for an EW. I think a 4lb rise for last months second is harsh swell and might make it difficult for PRETENDING to win.

3.15 MALATIA 15/8 - 1 point win

Ludlow run in March was impressive and perfect preparation for this meeting where MALATIA struck last year. Main danger is tracker LADY ADARE but I’ve had to brush her aside based on MALATIA effort LTO where she looks like a horse that means business. This will be the main target and she’s arriving in good nick.

3.50 WYENOT 11/1 - 3 paid - 0.5 EW - (GOLDEN ACE to win by 3 lengths is 1/1 on sky)

GOLDEN ACE was our biggest price Cheltenham winner at the festival but for this race the horse is short as as 1/4. The only way for value is to go for lengths. Sky are offering EVENS to win by 3 lengths I think that’s actually quite decent considering the starting price and let’s be honest - we might see an even more impressive effort here… his form has been seriously franked.

The reality is a place on our selection WYENOT will pay more than a bet on the winner. She is a decent horse who is tried at the trip for the first time. Trip is a big concern but she’s proven she is ready to take this step up in class, can she handle the trip.

4.25 SACRE COUER - 9/1 - 0.5 EW

Had some nice wins with this horse but mark is high now and she’s been struggling. This looks a bit easier for her but our tracker horse SOMESPRING SPECIAL that won at 10/1 over the weekend has been turned round quick and escapes with no penalty. Unfortunately the horse is into odds on or I would be tipping it up. Should run well but a bit short at 10/11 for a race like this and a single… if there’s a drift out maybe have a look if not just try the double outlined above with CLANSMAN at Ripon.

SACRE COUER will take the usually approach - belt it from the front and it’s a case of whether or not she holds on. Lovely grey horse that doesn’t owe the group much but more than capable at this level in my opinion and a great price to try her again.

    VIP SATURDAY

Good morning guys. There’s 7 meets today including AYR which includes the Scottish Grand National. NEWBURY is also a very good card. I’ve 15+ trackers today. I’ve done my best to get these down to a reasonable number.

    NEWBURY

    1.30 - NEWBURY - ARREST 2/1 - Saver ALSAKIB 14/1
    2.05 - NEWBURY - RELIEF RALLY- 3/1
3.50 - NEWBURY - ECONOMICS 11/8 PRICE now 10/11… missed value here now

    1.30 - NEWBURY - ARREST 9/4 - Saver ALSAKIB 14/1 - 1 point win - 0.5 EW saver.

HAMISH is a thorn in my side as I seem to always get him wrong. He’s such a versatile horse and can perform on any ground, and over a variety of trips. He’s one a few group races and arrives here looking for a 5 timer. No doubt he runs a good race. ARREST for me is the horse to beat. After running second to CONTINUOUS in the ST LEGER last year. That piece of form stands head and shoulders above the rest. Kieran Shoemark takes over from Frankie Dettori, he was unlucky to get thrown off BEELEY yesterday, a bright prospect and he would be looking to make amends here. It’s a very good horse and should be too good for the line up in my opinion. One I think is a big price for a saver is ALSAKIB - followed thus one last season and he the Rowley at Newmarket with a huge run. A poor show recently in Doha is surely the only reason why we get a double digit price. Good race this with tracker CHESSPIECE also involved - he’s halved in price overnight to 8/1.

    2.05 - NEWBURY - RELIEF RALLY- 11/4 - 1 point win

Did some two point bets on this horse last year but I’m not really doing them anymore. Happy with small outlays really and just betting sensibly. I’ve gone against INFO sent in STAR MUSIC 9/2 here and stuck with RELIEF RALLY who runs for the second time at 6 furlongs today. ATR says it’s her first go a 6 furlongs - this is wrong - she’s already won at 6 in the Group 2 at York. This essentially is a drop in grade for her and she has an electric turn of foot that can get her out of trouble in races. A very strong line up of fillies in this one and should be a good race.

    OTHERS

    5.15 - BRIGHTON - HEERS SADIE 7/1 - 4 paid - 0.5 EW
    6.55 - NOTTINGHAM - CLANSMAN 11/10 - 1 point win
    2.50 - BANGOR - CERENDIPITY - 15/2 - 3 paid - 0.5 EW

CLANSMAN is carrying the load of a working donkey today but I think he’s well ahead of the handicapper. HEERS SADIE arrives with solid form claims and looks great EW bet. CERENDITPIY is proving costly for the group. I’m going to give the horse once more chance with a small bet today.

Sorry for rushed write up on these last few but prices are being smashed at Newbury and need to get these out!!! It’s up to you if you want to take ECONOMICS at 10/11 but looks a winner today especially with that market support in the last 30 minutes.
