A very very good couple of days VIP NEWMARKET It’s all about CITY OF TROY today is he racing’s next superstar? We will see later but he’s no tip at 8/13. Any tipster booming that later needs to give head a wobble. I’m happy to just watch or I might try and double him up with something. Will be class I actually have a tracker in the race ALYANAABI who is 8/1 but I can’t see anything beating the short price favourite. This horse could be the best of the lot of Aidan O Briens crop of two year olds this year… BUT he still has a job to do and he wouldn’t be the first short price prospect to go down stepping up to group 1 level. Ryan Moore said this horse was almost ‘impossible to pull up’ after the line when winning so he should be full of running and ONLY get better when he inevitably steps up in trip. For now it’s the Dewhurst and 7 furlong and as I say he’s 8/13 so too short for a VIP tip but make sure you WATCH the race guys!!!! 1.25 - ANCIENT WISDOM 7/4 - 2 point win 2.40 - YORKINDNESS 66/1 & TRITONIC 25/1 & EMIYN 50/1 - 0.5 EW - 8 places paid on some bookies 3.50 - SPIRIT DANCER 13/2 - 4 paid - 1 point ew 5.00 - FRANKNESS 20/1 & MINNETONKA 28/1 - 0.5 points EW ANCIENT WISDOM was 3rd place in the listed LTO, no obvious or real excuses and his unbeaten record was taken by a very game Rosallion. The second place Al Musmak went on to win at Haydock and then a second place the group 2 at Newmarket 2 weeks ago followed. Rosallion went on to win the group 1 race in Paris at the start of this month. It’s safe to say on that basis ANCIENT WISDOMS form has been well and truly franked and he can be forgiven for his 3rd place. With that said he has plenty to prove here but at 7/4 he’s my only 2 point bet of the weekend. He’s a 2 million pound animal that is destined for group races in my opinion and this can realistically be his only target if the Appleby team have a sniff of making a return on him for connections. This race is for £60,000, he needs to be winning here and moving on up. Is he good enough to do that? We find out today as he needs to get back straight to winning ways. The 2.40 is a bookies race but I love having a bet in these races and throwing a few darts. I only have very small EW bets in these races for fun more than anything else as they are like a lottery. You need loads of luck and things to fall into place. Therres THIRTY FOUR runners in this race and 8 places paid so well worth having a go on a few longshots. I’ve 3 fancies as listed above and I’ve had small EW bets on all 3. If one of them wins - happy days. No harm no foul if they all lose as I’ve not even lost two points. A race not to be missed for the spectacle of it alone. Will be class and fingers crossed we can pin down the winner!! Try one of your own in this guys as well for a bit of fun and let me know how you get on!!! 3.50 SPIRIT DANCER - I suppose we have to go again, prolific winner for VIP this summer. Big ask of top weight today to say the least but has all the talent in the world this Frankel filly. I’ve taken 6/1 4 places on sky but 13/2 is still out there as I type this up. Finally the 5pm has two horses I really like FRANKNESS especially has been good to us this season, well overpriced at 20/1 here with 4 places paid I think. Could find one or two better but I can’t say no at 20/1. The other one here is MINNETONKA who has been running brilliantly of late - form reads 41222… big step up in class but running so consistently in these types of races it’s hard to say no to that EW value!!! GOOD LUCK ALL
VIP YORK YORK TIPS 1.15 - STARLORE 11/2- 1 point EW win - 4 paid 2.25 - KINGS LYNN 28/1 & SUMMERGHAND 20/1 - 0.5 EW - 6 paid 4.45 - CAP FRANCAIS 33/1 - 5 paid - 0.5 EW York looks even tougher than yesterday in all honesty so not doing too many. PUROSANGUE owes us a win, second 3 times in a row - we have been on the last two outings. Holds very solid form claims but starting to worry about his desire to win. The price of 7/2 has got me interested, the value is there to try again. The danger for me in this race is the likeable STARLORE at 6/1, you might be able to tell I started keen on PUROSANGUE but I’ve convinced myself to go with STARLORE at 11/2. We can get 4 places paid here and just about get an EW price for STARLORE. This horse ran green and keen last time out so improvement is likely if they have managed to iron out his kinks back on the gallops.. The 2.25 has up to 6 places paid with most bookies. 22 runners, again these handicaps are solid to pick winners in. I’ve stuck with SUMMERGHAND who came last at Ayr. Not often you seen a dub effort from SUMMERGHAND and hopefully he can return to form after being eased down at York where he has a great record. KINGS LYNN is a tracker horse I have (the other is MAGICAL SPIRIT) but KINGS LYNN gets the nod as his mark is attractive at this point and ultimately this is a group 2 winning horse running in a handicap. It would be easy to side with horses at the top end of the market but I’d prefer trying long shots in this calibre of race. WOBWOBWOB is 7/1 and will likely run well but no real value in a race of this magnitude. Finally CAP FRANCAIS is another tracker for the 4.45. Last won off a mark of 93, he’s down to 79 now but still came LAST in his most recent race. The only encouragement was a second place previous to this at Newmarket in a class 4 race like todays. That form piece is key as it shows he’s able to get close at this level and off this mark. We will take a chance on him as he drops down another 1lb today and also in class. He’s a big pride and has place credentials but not one to go mad over obviously. GOOD LUCK ALL Nate
Mad outsider for York 1505. Financer. Why is Easterby throwing in an unraced horse into a Class 2? Raises the hmmm intersting. The dampner, very, very few of his horses win first time out. For a bit of interest small ew. York 1425 assemble the usual suspects for a 6 furlong cavalry charge. As above, for a bit of interst, Summergand ew. Also, Pendleton, won well last time in a class 3.
VIP SUNDAY Nothing in the tracker today for the UK but we do have one in the tracker running in France so we will try 2 points on that horse as he’s a good consistent type. Not much going on in the UK today but we will see what we can come up with and do our usual Sunday roast NAP picked by the lifetime members. If you would like lifetime info click and vote here - https://t.me/ xgOULF-8Hys5ZDU0 5.05 FFOS LAS - WICKED THOUGHTS 13/8 - 1 point win Won his points debut by 25 lengths and then sold on to Paul Nicholls. Makes debut for the yard today, should be able to hit the ground running. Looks a decent prospect when alls considered and will stick this one in the tracker if it runs well today for future development. 2.50 PARIS LONGCHAMP - IRESINE 6/5 - 2 point win (Saver ZARAKEM 10/1 - 0.5 EW - 3 paid ) This is the best race of the day in terms of quality and in fairness IRESINE has already proven himself at this level and will be the one they need to beat. He’s off to Japan after this, I’ve never seen him run a bad race. His form reads 311111114311212 - super consistent horse and will be shocked if we don’t see a big run. Can anything beat him? Yes, there's two long shots that look unexposed in this race - MARQUISAT steps up to the big leagues today, he’s undefeated and Barzalona rides, but the one that catches the eye at a bigger price is ZARAKEM at 10/1. 3 places paid here, he’s recently been bought for 500,000 and is aiming for a five timer, he’s beat some decent horses along the way including RAINBOW SKY who franked that form by winning LTO. Worth a small saver in my opinion.
Jees.... Im happy to back a winner, but this is a great story... https://www.racingpost.com/news/int...dicting-everest-finishing-order-aN1PB4o3aRTj/
VIP TUESDAY Not too many from me today the better racing is towards the back end of the week. All roads lead to ASCOT where wie will be covering every race on the day… ! 3.25 LEICESTER - ADAAY IN DEVON 13/8 - 1 point wins 4.25 HUNTINGDON - GOLD LINK - 2/1 - 1 point wins Two horses that aren’t favourites but probably should be for their respective races especially GOLD LINK who at 2/1 looks the best option in that race over BOOM BOOM for Henderson who will need to improve a lot after a disappointing effort LTO. Today GOLD LINK runs of an unchanged mark and has been holding his form well at this level. With that said he’s still 7lbs higher than last winning mark so will need to improve to get the win today. ADAAY IN DEVON has looked decent all season and is reunited with 7lb claimer Oliver Searle today. After a 5th place at Goodwood it seemed evident he was out of his depth in class 2 company and didn’t suit the 7 furlong trip. Now back at 6 furlongs and down in company this looks very winnable. Only 3 horses are running and he must beat a solid favourite in good form. LONGSHOTS 3.13 HUNTINGDON - LARGY NIGHTS 16/1 - 3 paid - 0.5 EW (365) Looked at this last night, considered it, it’s 11/1 on Sky with 4 places paid but 365 are offering 20/1 for 3 places which seems to be good value. (Now 16/1 in space of 5 mins so being nibbled at) 4 places with Sky for safety or 3 with 365 for the value. Pulled up when last seen in January. 8 months off since but previous form was encouraging 122 in a few decent races he put 3 solid runs together. Watching back the race where he was pulled up this morning - I’m hoping that was just an off day. Lily Pinchin rides with a 3lb claim, I think she’s a jockey to keep a close eye on this season. 4.00 LEICESTER - BELLESTARR 12/1 - 4 paid - 0.5 point EW (SKY) I will go on record and say Craig Lidster is one of my favourite small trainers and he’s going to be massive and a name you see a lot more over the next few years. He’s secured solid backing from decent owners that have helped with new facilities and a new crop of horses. He and the operation will be going from strength to strength and he’s getting a good tune out of some lowly rated animals. For example BELLESTARR only has a rating of 45, this is rock bottom racing and a class 6 affair but there's no doubt this horse has improved dramatically over the past few months. 4th out of 5 at Newcastle but running against horses rated 15lbs higher and certainly not disgraced. Looks a good price here with 4 paid to have a small bet on. Will be adding more into our trading group today for anyone that would like to follow - https://chat.whatsapp.com/DEu6lxZvcRv8nnF3IzpuqB Might have some INFO out soon but other than that - that’s all for today from me until Newcastle later ❤️
VIP Hereford Morning guys Ste has covered Hereford meeting today I have a few of my own that will be out before 11.30 1500 Hereford- FRANKIE FAULKNER 9/2 (1 point win) Returned from a 758 day break to make debut for the yard over hurdles at Newton abbot in june when third to a nto winner before getting his head in front on his next start back there dropped to 2m 2f, went of second favourite for his chase debut in August when third over 2m 5f at Fontwell and he filled the same spot nto upped in class when behind a couple of inform rivals, went one better on his latest start stepping up to this distance when beaten a short head to a odds on shot last month despite the saddle slipping and he should be competitive once again dropping back down in class up 1lb with conditions in his favour. 1535 Hereford- CLASSIC CONCORDE 5/2 (1 point win) Going for the 4 timer and should probably be favorite so I think there's still some value at 5/2 here and worth sticking with, joined this yard last year with a losing streak of 17 but he's bounced right back to form this year picking up three wins and three places from 6 hurdle starts, up 3lb for his latest win when completing the hatrick and although them three wins have come over 2m 7f I think he'll handle stepping back up in trip in what looks a weaker race, Conor Brace rides. 1645 Hereford- NEVER NO TROUBLE 11/4 (1 point win) She's been very consistent since joining this yard finishing in the top 3 in 13 of her 15 starts with 14 of those coming over hurdles and she was only beaten a neck on her latest start over this distance at Bangor lto, 3lb higher upped in class here but her sole win came in a class 4 at this course when a easy winner over 2m in a maiden hurdle and she's placed on all four starts over this distance, visor goes back on which could help, no ground issues and it could be third time lucky on board for the talented William Maggs.
VIP WEDNESDAY 2.35 - NOTTS - BEELEY 6/5 - 1 point win 4.35 - BATH - CAMPAIGN TRAIL 7/2 - 1 point win Gosdens BEELEY missed out on the win by only a nose on debut despite getting caught in traffic. Stayed on well and only just headed on the line. He is a short price today but that experience should play out well for this maiden race. There's a few to keep an eye on in this race - SIMPLE ENDEAVOUR I’ve put into the tracker this morning and will probably do a very small saver at 14/1. This horse is impeccably bred out of Dubwai (worlds most expensive stud stallion) but has had a rocky start to his career for the Balding camp. They have paid 800,000 for this one and had a last place and 5th so far. The only way is up for SIMPLE ENDEAVOUR but she might need more track experience before paying dividends for connections. If CAMPAIGN TRAIL can handle the ground today at Nottingham then the 7/2 might end up being good value for the horse despite being near top of the weights. The hat trick bid was denied at Newmarket in the Cesarewitch and he finished 6th in that class 2 race but was almost 20 lengths behind the winner. With Rossa Ryan booked for todays ride and a drop back from class 2 into class 4, a bold effort is to be expected. I’m worried about the ground and I think it’s ORDER OF MALTA we need to be worried about today rather than the favourite. LONGSHOTS 2.25 - WETHERBY - GEROMINO 5/1 - 3 paid - 1 point EW 3.33 - WETHERBY - LADRONNE 15/2 - 4 paid - 1 point EW 4.00 - BATH - QUEEN EMMA 15/2 - 3 paid - 2 point EW QUEEN EMMA is my biggest bet of the day today. Her form now reads 241123 after a solid 3rd most recently at Newmarket. She is a good bet and value at 15/2 here for the Haggas team but we must get past the two Golden charges who are both here to win and sit near inseparable at the top of the market. I’m having a slightly bigger bet than usual for QUEEN EMMA as I think the price is right. This race is arguably and most likely a stiffer test than that at Newmarket but she went off at 5/2 favourite that day going 8/11 in running before staying on at 1 pace. (Some say Frankie Dettori deliberately pulled her up so he could have INSPIRAL as his 500th winner in the next race… I’m not one for racing conspiracies but in todays case, lets hope it’s true lol) Hit and miss is probably the best way to describe LADRONNE but the horse has won for us numerous times. 5lb claimer on board here, he’s a course and distance winner that’s placed in nearly 50% of his races. This might well be the best race he’s been entered into but he looks well weighted to me with the claimer giving him a real chance if he comes back fresh and ready for todays assignment. Again, the values there and with 4 paid he’s worth chancing off near bottom weight. Brian Hughes will likely get a decent tune out of GEROMINO today, I’ve taken 5/1 EW with this one and hoping he can get his season off to a winning start. Had a lovely run of 4 wins in a row last year, but was punished in the weights for it, mark is now eased again and went close twice at the end of last year's campaign, not seen in over a year so small bets only.
VIP BRIGHTON Hey guys having a go at this lot at Brighton today one of the members has gone for his birthday so happy birthday and lets hope we can find a nice winner or two there!! 1.35 BRIGHTON - MOVEONUP 18/1 - 5 paid 365 - 1 point EW This horse was literally passed around 6 jockeys in a row and not one of them were able to get a tune out of him. Step up Billy Loughrane and he runs absolute belter at 40/1 just denied a neck from another huge winner. He’s maintained the ride today and does have a win here at Brighton (although a while ago) This horse has been useless all year but did win in January off a mark of 45… his marks back down now to 46. Again this is rock bottom racing but with 5 places paid and a price of 18/1 I think he’s worth trying over the obvious dangers GHERKIN and HEERS SADIE that are both quite short in comparison. 2.45 BRIGHTON - ZAYINA 9/4 - 1 point win 365 Taking on the short price fav here in CASTLE IN THE SAND. Both he and ZAYINA arrive on the back of runner up efforts but our horse ZAYINA must step up in class to get the job done today. She went off short at Pontefract LTO, 6/5 and was just denied. She had a few quirks that need ironing out - I will be interested to see if she’s hooded again on the way to post, she’s the daughter of French Group 1 winner ZARAK so you would imagine she has plenty of improvement in her based on the pedigree. Again another ride of Billy Loughranes. A big ask to beat the Balding favourite but I think ZAYINA has a good chance. 4.30 BRIGHTON - ZABBIE 5/1 - 2 paid 365 - 0.5 EW 5.05 BRIGHTON - FACT OR FABLE 8/1 - 0.5 EW Two fancies I’m having a go on but have to admit getting a bit concerned by ZABBIES runs of later as horse has took a step backwards since winning for us at Lingfield. Needs to improve dramatically to win today as recent efforts have been lacklustre, mark is back down and this is lowly racing so ZABBIE can’t be ruled out but if we don’t see a place today then I doubt we will be tipping the horse moving forward… FACT OR FABLE looks the value in the 5.05, holding his form very well at the moment off big prices… 131244 (form) off prices 11/2, 12/1, 8/1, 11/1 and 40/1. He’s won at C&D and trainer Gary Moore is top dog round these parts with a high strike rate with his runners. I’ve had a small EW at 8/1. Taylor Fisher rides with a 3lb claim and although that still puts us a few 1lbs above last winning mark, it should see us competitive at the very least. TOTAL POINTS SUGGESTED - 3 More to come… jumps at CARLISLE and WINCANTON today. I’ve done some tracker work (100 horses added in but still more work to be done so it will only be a small outlay today for the jumps meets)
