VIP Longshots I do have a tracker horse out today that’s 250/1. Ste has tipped Mr Mackey in the same race but it’s going to be difficult to get near the odds on favourite. BOOK OF VERSE is 250/1 but is a flat horse with absolutely no form. It’s the 2.35 Huntingdon if anyone wants to have a look at the race. Instead we will try a few long shots with a bit more of a realistic price. Small bets for these longshots. 4.40 BRIGHTON - BUY THE DIP 8/1 - 4 paid - 1 point EW 1.37 LEICESTER - PROFFESSOR TICKLE 18/1 & DAMIA 20/1 - 0.5 EW - 6 paid 3.57 LEICESTER - FOUR ADAAY 16/1 - 4 paid - 1 point EW Had BUY THE DIP at 11/1 only half an hour ago so money is coming, 4 places paid and very solid form. Missed most of the value now unfortunately but still worth a small go. Two in the 1.37, SKY are paying 6 places. DAMIA runs for a new Yard with Billy Loughrane on board. Hooded for the first time, his recent Kempton run wasn’t too bad and the new changes might see more improvement. He’s worth trying at a big price as is PROFESSOR TICKLY for Laura Pearson in the same race. Plenty to prove but arrives off the back of a solid 3rd place. FOUR ADAAY wasn’t at his best when 6th here last week and goes of the same mark. It was a blanket finish with a few lengths between the top 8 in the race. This is a step up in class but a 7lb claimer will make life easier for FOUR ADAAY and although he’s not won at this level yet, the value is there to give him a go.
VIP Main Bets Good morning guys. Few shorter prices to get us started I will have a few long shots out a bit later! Thanks 3.10 HUNTINGDON - CHESS PLAYER 2/1 - 1 point win 4.05 BRIGHTON - PROMETEO 11/10 - 1 point win 4.32 LEICESTER - ZIRYAB 9/2 - 1 point win ZIRYAB has been gelded since last effort at this level in July, The Gosden horse went off at 2/1 before finishing 5th but deserves another chance at this price in what looks to be one of the most competitive races of the afternoon. The value is there for a bet. CHESS PLAYER won by 20+ lengths last time and a 7lb rise is negated by Beau Morgan's 5lb claim leaving him only 2lbs higher essentially. This was made even more impressive by trouncing the odds on favourite. Worth following up. If form is anything to go by then PROMETEO wins this race. A close third on debut at Kempton followed up by a dramatically improved run at Yarmouth, denied by a neck. Winners have come out of that Kempton race so the form is franked. The main danger here could well be the un-raced Sea The Stars colt in Rogue King but you would imagine PROMETO can get off the mark here. GOOD LUCK ALL Nate
VIP Good morning all! Main bets: Ludlow 3.20 - SURE TOUCH 9/4 - 1 point win Ludlow 4.30 - HEDERA PARK 11/4 - 1 point win Nottingham 4.57 - STRESSFREE 9/4 - 1 point win Keep bets small whilst we are reintroduced to the jumps season. We are welcomed back to Ludlow today with some decent handicaps and plenty of decent prospects to look at. The tracker work has begun and lets hope we can get off to a winning start at Ludlow today. I prefer SURE TOUCH marginally over the favourite REXEM. The reality is any of the 4 horses in the line up could pick up the win today but the consistency and price of SURE TOUCH gives him the edge in preference. This 4.30 looks like another hot race for the mares handicap with the likeable Police Academy going off a short price fav. The value looks with HEDERA PARK who won well LTO but must tackle a 10lb rise in the ranks. Looks more than capable of stepping up again after recent STRESSFREE probably should have finished the job off at Ayr but wasn’t strong enough in the final stages and was headed by Hartswood. This horse hasn’t won since a win at Longchamp earlier this summer, after his last run he looks in the form to get his first win for his new yard. Longshots: Nottingham 2.37 - REINA DEL MAR 6/1 - 1 point EW - 2 paid Nottingham 4.22 - IN THE TRENCHES 7/1 (3 paid) 5/1 (4 paid sky) - 1 point EW Sedgfield 3.30 - SPOT ON SOPH 13/2 - 1 point EW - 4 paid - 11/2 (5 paid sky) We took a chance on REINA DEL MAR after she won a class 3 in style. I bigged her up only for her to finish last at Doncaster. She’s now been eased one pound for that run, still maintains the partnership with Saffie Osbourne and drops down to class 4 company from class 2 LTO. The favourite is hat trick seeking Sanction at 2/1.. never won out of class 5. Our horse must carry top weight but she should be going close here in calmer waters. Yorkstone won for us last week and did so in stylish fashion but goes up another 3lbs today. I was considering putting up two for this race MARCHING BAND and IN THE TRENCHES. We have gone with the latter but I will be seeing how MARCHING BAND gets on today with the idea to track for future if he goes close. IN THE TRENCHES very much look like he needed the run out when 5th here during his last run and I think we will see a much improved version of the horse today. SPOT ON SOPH run for us in August and was subsequently chinned by the handicapper and although she hasn’t won since she's been penalised for close follow up efforts. She won of a mark of 85 and races at 99 today but this race looks quite open and the EW value is there to take a chance on her again. GOOD LUCK ALL Nate
By his own admission, as much as he is getting Group 1 rides, and winners, here in the UK, hurtling round the country on a Monday for Class 5,6 rides no longer holds appeal. Riding out first string in California sunshine has to be better than the winter months here. As for finally done in the UK? I think that depends on which horse and which race he asked to ride. We shall see.
VIP AYR Few for AYR/EXETER… might be one or two more before 12pm. 2.10 AYR - AYR POET - 7/1 - 4 PAID - 1 point EW The favourite won very easily and makes debut for new yard, he’s the one to best. AYR POET is top value here in my opinion. Prolific winner here with 5 wins in eluding at C&D. Each Way value at 7-1 and a 3lb claim from Amie Waugh. 4 paid here with 365. 3.55 AYR - BE PROUD 18/1 - 4 paid - 0.5 EW Poor form including a 23rd place from 25 entries here in the Silver Cup most recently. That was a class 2, he’s back down to class 4 today off an eased mark. I think he’s over priced and worth a small EW. 4.30 AYR - JKR COBBLER - 11/4 - 1 point win JKR COBBLER runs of the same mark for the Jardine team after finding one too good here LTO. I think 11/4 is good value, he will probably go off shorter. The main worry is the ground. 4.00 EXETER - PITTSBURG - 6/1 - 5 paid - 1 point EW Two wins followed by 3 second places for PITTSBURG, we can get an EW price today with 5 places paid. Hard to see him not in the top 5 and consistent enough at this level to see him getting back to winning ways.
VIP Exeter tips ✅️ Two from Ste for Exeter I will have a few out by 12pm latest 1525 NEWMILL GETAWAY 7/4 ( point win) Most in the field are making there hurdling debut but it's Getaway that stands out most on bumper form, finished fourth in a irish point before making her rules debut for this yard over 1m 7f at Uttoxeter, was a decent third there before winning easily nto upped to 2m at Worcester in a 5 runner race and she ran well in defeat on her latest start when just held over the same CD in September, yards done well with there runners over hurdles in the last 12 months and there last two winners have been with classic concorde over hurdles for the same owners, bit of a risk at only 7/4 for hurdling debut but I don't think there's anything in the field that you can make stronger claims for so this could be a good opportunity for her to make a winning start over hurdles. 1710 COOLNAUGH HAZE 3/1 (1 point win) Had been running consistently well prior to moving to this stable including two back to back runner ups in class 3 company at the start of the summer and he got off to a winning start when well backed on yard debut over 2m at Worcester, was clear two out there eased at the finish with a few behind winning since and he put up another good run nto up 10lb and stepping up two classes when fourth 9 days ago despite some sketchy jumping two out, back down to a class 4 here with conditions in his favour and Freddie Gingell jumps onboard for the first time who's placed with half of his 16 rides here winning twice and has just the one ride, should have a good chance at bouncing back here.
VIP NEWMARKET Very busy day for my tracker I’ve 16 horses. Obviously we can’t bet them all and I think the weather might play havoc today so sensibly stakes are a must. Newmarket first… YORK / CHEPSTOW to come before 12pm. Maybe one or two for NEWCASTLE this evening. Please follow the points system. 1.50 NEWMARKET - SWEETEST 40/1 - 0.5 EW We have info for this race posted already ROSARIO. My heart and tracker says ALABAMA but my head says the value in the race has to be SWEETEST here. How often will you find Dettori on a 40/1 shot? Ran a good race on soft ground at Cork LTO and although this is a big step up in class today theres no reason why SWEETEST can’t get a place here. O Briens horse has never finished outside the places and has the tongue strap on for the first time on her first race over in England. 3.35 NEWMARKET - ALSAKIB 9/2 - 1 point win - WESTERON 10/1 - 0.5 EW SAVER - 4 paid ALSAKIB is the tacker horse who won well for us at Ascot last month. That was on good ground but he showed a turn off foot that was encouraging and he was never getting beat in that race. Soft conditions and a 9lb hike in the weights will make this assignment a tough one and I’m not 100% convinced due to the ground. He’s won 3 out of 5 races and his only time out of the top 2 was on soft but he was by no means disgraced. WESTERTON makes for a good saver here at 10/1 as we know he will handle the conditions. Holds solid form claims and a really nice form piece I’ve found is him beating MIDDLE EARTH by 5 lengths in June. MIDDLE EARTH has improved massively looking like a group 1 horse so to beat him so convincingly shows the ability this horse has. Big price under Rossa Ryan for the saver here if ALSAKIB falters. 4.10 NEWMARKET - YLANG YLANG 4/1 - 1 point win Two pointed this LTO at Newmarket and the Frankel filly came 3rd. She did all her best work at the line, I wasn’t crazy about the ride she was given but there was no doubt she finished very strongly at the line which is why I think she’s a good bet again stepping up to the mile today from 7 furlongs. She’s lightly raced but there's doubt her best effort came in the group 3 at Leopardstown on the soft ground which she will get here again. O Brien must still believe in here or he would fire something else at this group 1 (he does have the 66/1 outsider BRILLIANT here but that surely doesn’t have a chance?) This is a £500,000 race and the fact he continues to have faith in YLANG YLANG is enough for me. Great price at 4/1 in my opinion.
VIP YORK FANCIES I’ve been asked to cover the card. We have quite a few members at York today and there's some big handicaps that ultimately are hard to pin down, hence why there's two bets for 4 of the races. Small 0.5 EW bets for all of these long shots and lets hope we can pick up a winner or two out of this lot which will see us in profit at these type of prices. As I say don’t break the bank here, the weather is going to be a big issue and play a part in proceedings today and these are not easy races to figure out. 2.40 YORK - KINGFISHER KING 13/2 & LORDSHIP 8/1 - 4 paid 3.15 YORK - AFRICAN SPIRIT 7/1 & APIARIST 25/1 - 5 paid 3.50 YORK - LA TRINIDAD 8/1 & ORBAAN 9/1 - 5 paid 5.00 YORK - SHAALA ASKER 18/1- 5 paid 5.35 YORK - YASSER 9/1 & UGO GREGORY 22/1 - 6 paid KINGFISHER KING stands out like a sore thumb but must do the business of top weight.. LORDSHIP is the tracked horse who was poor LTO. Proven at this level but needs to bounce back after two poor efforts. I could easily tip 3 or 4 in the 3.15 but I will stick with my tracker horse APIARIST who remains a maiden and drops down in trip. Jockey will need to keep hold of him as he been too keen on starts so far. Nellie Leila, The Coffee Pod were hard to oppose but the lasting memory of AFRICAN SPIRITS debut run lingered in the mind when going through form. I watched that back this morning, he won by 5 lengths on debut and looked a real prospect. The gelding must step up in class but if he was able to do that on debut, only improvement can surely be expected. ORBAAN has not won this year and they have tried the visor for the first time. He last won off a mark of 95 and is now down to a mark of 89. Ben Curtis rides today and although his form reads poorly he has a big race in him. I’ve followed this horse for ages, I’d prefer a double figure price but I would be gutted if he pops up today and not on as avoided him all season waiting for a revised mark… LA TRINIDAD is my tracker horse in the race and a C&D winner but his mark is not favourable. Second last time out which sees him running of 93 with a 3lb claimer in the talented Jonny Peate. He seems to be well fancied in the papers today and arrives in good stead. Do I need to say anything about SHALLA ASKER? If you have been here for a while then you will know this horse doesn’t owe us a penny after a huge 20/1 win at Pontefract. Similar price today with Benoit back on board again as he drops back in class. He’s won at this level previously and I can’t say no to a small bet at this price. Finally if you have got this far for the 5.35 we will stick with YASSER who missed the break and still came 4th in his last race for a nice price. I think YASSER has a big chance with a good break and a good price at 9/1. However the horse I’m really fond of is UGO GREGORY and again for obvious reasons. Won for us at a big price a few Saturdays ago and close on other occasions. Possibly and probably out of his depth here and in my opinion will need to get to the from to have any chance to win. Price is too big for me not to have a go with 6 paid, why not. Good luck guys - please don’t break the bank at York today.
