2:18 pm Wolverhampton - Old Harrovian 2/1 (1 Point) 4:40 pm Kempton - Laurel 1/1 (3 Points) 2.45 Huntingdon – Eyed – ½ Point Each Way, generally 9/2 A little frustrating as we advised him on his handicap debut in January, but he ran a stinker, to then win last time at a nice price. He’d shown promise behind some very classy types as a novice and now he’s backed up that promise by winning last time, he’s a potential improver of what is still a pretty low handicap mark. He battled on well to win last time where the runner up looked to be travelling best and that was probably a fair run. Up 6lbs here and should go close again with the rain today in his favour. 4.08 Plumpton – War Lord – ½ Point Each Way, generally 13/2 Top 3 Places with Bet365, Skybet, Corals, Unibet, Betfred Looks to have been completely missed in the market here based on being pulled up in one of the big handicaps at Cheltenham. The same had happened in January at Cheltenham, before he ran a cracker to be 2nd to a well handicapped winner. The handicapper has dropped him a few pounds and this looks a nice opportunity to get back in the winners enclosure. The potential fly in the ointment is the very well handicapped Captain Tom Cat, but the morning rain is likely to be against him, whereas War Lord acts well in all conditions. 17:13 Wolverhampton, Giselles Izzy 13:25 Chepstown, Mount Tempest 1pt win @ 1.62 several bookies 15:30 Kempton, Slipofthepen 1pt win @ 1.67 several bookies 16:40 Kempton, Laurel 1pt win @ 1.40 several bookies 16:55 Chepstow, Isaac Des Obeaux 1pt win @ 2.10 several bookies

This will be his first race back on turf for his new yard, but with by far his best form in Ireland coming on testing ground, if the return to easy ground can boost his performance only by a little tomorrow, then with fitness and age on his side against a few returners/older types, he must go well despite not having an ideal draw. 4:00 Pontefract, Amy Santiago - 1pt win 9/2 generally Caught the eye on debut last year staying on well over 5f on easy ground, and although she's performed well on the all weather, winning once and running well last time, I think she looks to be crying out for a return to testing ground, as shown last time when keeping on again after being outpaced. She's got the plum-draw in stall 1 for a trainer who's won this race 4-times in that last 6 years, and with the cheek-pieces to help her settle, I think she looks to have plenty in her favour.

Yes,a pin and a list of the runners Corach Rambler looks a classy entrant, short price though.Galvin at a bigger price could run well.
4 winners yesterday … Thursday. 2.20 Aintree – Zenta – 5 Points Win – 7/4 Skybet, Bet Victor, Unibet, generally 13/8 Comes here the clear form choice after her excellent 3rd in the Triumph Hurdle where the Irish trained runners completely dominated, especially Willie Mullins who trained the first 4 home. Zenta had only run once for the yard previously when winning at Fairyhouse, where she showed a fair amount of class to win despite jumping the last two flights poorly. Everything about her run at Cheltenham was a more polished performance, and but for just getting nabbed on the line, she would have been 2nd and she travelled like the 2nd best horse in the race. Her opponents here have a huge amount to find on the form book, she’s only having her 3rd race of the season so comes here fresh, has proven form on soft ground and the longer break between Cheltenham and Aintree this year is also a plus. She’s an extremely strong favourite and our first 5 point Maximum Bet of the year. 4.40 Aintree – Third Time Lucki (11/2) & Hatcher (10/1), both ½ Point Win Third Time Lucki was a notebook horse having run a cracker at Cheltenham when the late rain went against him. He has been dropped 1lb here and in a less competitive race, he must go close. Notebook Comments: Cheltenham, Third Time Lucki The rain was very much against Third Time Lucki who’s best on a decent surface, but he ran a cracker to finish 4th despite being slightly hampered at the 2nd last by a faller. He’d previously won very well at Sandown and is clearly on the top of his game at present. He’s backed up well previously so if getting nice ground he’d be of interest at either Aintree or Sandown in April. Hatcher comes here extremely well handicapped having dropped from a high of 150 down to 130 here. He ran with a fair amount of promise last time, suggesting a return to form and with the ground now likely to suit, he’s the best handicapped horse in the race. 14:55 Aintree, Conflated 1pt win @ 7.00 several bookies 17:05 Newcastle, Bella Kopella 1pt win @ 1.90 several bookies 18:00 Chelmsford, Rhythm N Hooves 1pt win @ 1.67 most bookies
I’m on Vanillier. If his jumping stands up he’ll be there or thereabouts. I put the bet on in January when it was 66/1. Down to about 20/1, now.
