Polly Pott was some win. Lost the rail entering the final furlong, put the handbrake on and swerved round the leader, won by a length. Unbelievable bit of riding, but good job it was one three runners. That manoeuvre would have been impossible in a close group finish.
New whip rules to be introduced. Disqualification for the winner if the jockey breaches them? And then count back with the runners up, and end up with the twenty length beaten sixth being awarded the race??? In a class 6 at Beverley not really going to cause outcry, but the Derby, or other prestigious races? Then again if a horse is chucked out of a class 6, the message will certainly get through to the jockeys. All in all, more a PR exercise than horse welfare. The days of Lester staccato machine gunning a whip, that hurt, down the flanks of a Derby winner are long gone.

Same here. Canaria Prince won a couple of days ago. If I remember it was entered for both races beginning of the week, not an, oh its won where now. The only bit of decent form on offer. Gets my vote as well.
