    Tweet from Rob Tanner

Billy Sharp in talks with City so let's hope they agree terms quickly because City need a finisher. Kebe next and definitely a centre back

Anyway Rob Tanner called this in the week and he got no end right in the summer. I think he is the most reliable person to listen to out of everyone including Stringer. Tanner called the Pearson saga bang on and in the summer he got the Nugent, Yakubu, Maynard and Matt Mills saga's all bang on

Well if he can get 10 goals in a team at the bottom of the league just think of what he can do in a team chasing promotion.

Pretty funny how you were all saying how you'd be fine this season, even with this money, it hasn't worked out really ayy? <doh>

Ha ha another Tiger interested in us - but your lot think we're going to go bust very soon though. Remind me how many Cups your club has ever won or seasons spent playing top flight football or what your venture in UEFA Cup Football was like??

Or lets ask the Scunny and Donny fans. Sharp is a Sheffield United fans and was trying to prove himself in this league at the time. He maybe tried too hard to be a success and you have to remember he had already left there once and returned

We dont need Billy Sharp to come in and bang in 20 goals. If Nigel decides to keep Beckford and we can get him going with Sharp, Nugent, Beckford, Waghorn and Schlupp all capable of scoring goals all we would need it for 2 or 3 of them to score around 10-15 goals each and we would be more then fine

Is Billy really the answer, unless we sort out our midfield I'd doubt even Rooney would score for us. I guess only time will tell but I fear another striker who won't bang in goals like he does for other teams, please prove me wrong

We need a striker aswell as other areas of the team need to strengthening. Nigel knows this and if the knows which striker he wants why wait around, get him in asap before he goes alsewhere. Jimmy Kebe will be the next target along with a centre half and then look at getting in another winger and a centre mid.

And it looks like Waghorn is still some time away from returning and along with Jeff Schlupp looking like he picked up a nasty injury today along with Steve Howard being suspended next week we are low on numbers up front with just Nugent and Beckford avalible

The Billy Sharp deal will only be completed on Monday if he agrees terms. Don't forget. He will though, Leicester will match any wage. #lcfc

A big money signing is a gamble. You only have to look at Torres and Carroll to in the Prem to see that. But Sharp will give us one thing for certain - effort. And along with Nugent, I think we will have the most industrious striker partnership in the league!
