I think we should play with Aluko up front, to allow for quick, counter attacking football.

Apparently Man City have been playing through the middle a lot, so we'll be looking to get Brady and Aluko on the ball as much as possible.

I'm hoping for Thudd, Livermore and Meyler in midfield. I'm expecting Aluko and Brady out wide, which leaves Graham occupying the front position.

I think it'll be 1-1, with us scoring first. We aren't great at coming back from going behind (Cardiff aside), so I think Brucey will tell our lads to get at them while we can. If we sit off like we did in the opening 20 mins against Chelsea, they'll carve us right open.

Agree. Only way to beat them is to do what Cardiff did. Quick counter attacks with Aluko in the FC role supported by Brady, and Elmo in the Bellamy role on their weak LB. Thudd is the ideal player to play those long through balls to exploit Lescotts lack of speed and clumsiness. Davies could be a real factor in their box on set pieces with Kompany out. Our back 5 are as good as Cardiffs but we need to neutralize Silva. We have a reasonable chance to get something out of this.

Play Graham up front and they'll just push up and wear us down with their attacking ability and it'll be like Chelsea in the first 30 minutes.

Shut down Yaya Toure and Silva and Man City are nothing. Most of there attacks come from them. Cut the supply off to whichever strikers are played. Just like we did with the Winkle last week. Job done.

Think we're in for a hammering tomorrow fellas..

4-0... Cant see us scoring unless we get another pen.. would love to be proven wrong but Man City will be really up for this one and we'll be defending for pretty much all of the game.

it will be interesting to see how the Manchester city players cope with the pressure of the crowd if we can keep a clean sheet for the first 20 minutes or so, Bruce Snr will be up for getting 3 points out of the match, due to his former club as will several of our players (How is my audition for a match summariser on the TV going?).

It will either be very close, we nick a small victory or we get thrashed - yes that is stating the bleeding obvious

Pressure of the crowd after 20 minutes?
We aren't arsenal ffs
Getting on the players backs is really not something we do

We need to get back on track tomorrow after last weeks deserved win for Cardiff
I'm sure Hull will have taken plenty of notes how to stifle and hit on the counter but playing at the Etihad is a very difficult place to come away with anything

I doubt very much that Hart will lose his place and Nastasic is a shoe in to replace Garcia at centre back in what I think will be our only change

Hart
Zabaleta Kompany Nastasic Clichy
Fernandinho Yaya
Navas Aguero Silva
Dzeko

Have a good trip if your coming up in the morning

I hope we are being underestimated by all up there.
If there is one thing you will see from us its guts and determination, even if we do get thumped.
I think we could shock a few people by the way we can cope with big games like this.
We have some technically very decent footballers, something we lacked last time we were in the Prem.

and yet we still did pretty well in quite a few of those big games, especially in the first season!

Thought Kompany was out?

Man City's 18 man squad is:
Hart, Pantillimon, Zabaleta, Lescott, Nastasic, Clichy, Kolarov, Toure, Fernandinho, Garcia, Nasri, Milner, Navas, Sila, Negredo, Dzeko, Augero, Jovetic

Don't know about whose starting and whose on the bench though.
