I hope he gets a chance mate. Just something to freshen things up. What the **** happened to Campbell? I thought Pardew expecting big things and he was going to get some more appearances this season?

Can't understand why we haven't seen more of him, he's got a great game in him.

Seems he's on loan to St. Mirren till May.

He scored one and set one up in the most recent game vs Hibs, he'll come good I think. Only issue being he's a midget, which lowers his first team opportunities under Pards.

Trabzonspor have put a £4m bid in apparently...

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...Trabzonspor-bid-struggling-striker-Cisse.html

rabzonspor have had a £4million bid for Newcastle striker Papiss Cisse rejected.

The Senegal international will be allowed to leave St James' Park this month, but manager Alan Pardew wants wants a fee closer to £10million.

Sportsmail earlier revealed that Turkish club Besiktas are also interested in taking the Newcastle striker on loan until the end of the season.

Newcastle may want £10million for Papiss Cisse but his form this season does not justify that valuation.

In 18 matches in this campaign he has scored three goals - and only one of those came in the Premier League, a penalty against Stoke on Boxing Day.
The other two were in the Capital One Cup against Leeds and the FA Cup against Cardiff.

And UK-based deal-fixer Muzzi Ozcan, who has close links with Turkey's top clubs, will fly to Istanbul on Thursday in an attempt to broker a move.

Besiktas chairman Fikret Orman wants to land a top-name signing this month having missed on Ronaldinho, who after looking set to join the Turkish club penned a new contract at Atletico Mineiro.
Cisse is one of the names on the club's hit list this month, but whether Newcastle are willing to let him leave on loan is unclear, though the club are certainly listening to offers for permanent transfers.
Newcastle's £10m valuation of the 28-year-old could also prove a stumbling block for Besiktas, who are willing to stretch to £7.5m if the North East club refuse to agree to a loan.

Likewise, it is understood Cisse wants a salary of around £3m after tax once he agrees his next permanent move.

Cisse saw a proposed move to Qatari side Al Rayyan collapse last week over Newcastle's asking price, while Pardew suffered a blow in his bid to sign Borussia Monchengladbach striker Luuk De Jong when Cisse rejected a loan move there. West Ham have also been linked with a loan move for the striker.

Cisse has scored just one Barclays Premier League goal this season, a penalty against Stoke on Boxing Day.

With his form this season the £4m doesn't look so bad, plus it'll be a big saving on wages.
