Cisse, when on the pitch, has been an absolute revelation! Hopefully next season he can keep his head a bit better and keep banging them in for us, I can't remember seeing anyone of his calibre playing for us in my lifetime (started going end of our 95/96 season when I was 5 years old!) Gallen and Furlong were both fantastic servants to the club and great strikers, but incomparable to a striker of Cisse's calibre.
It's worth mentioning at this point that we don't have a striker that has scored 20 goals in any single season for us since Sir Les. and we were relegated the season after we sold him. We should do everything possible to keep Cisse - I have a feeling that next season he could even eclipse his Geordie namesake...
I've always thought 'what if Gallen didn't do his knee in?'. Hugely talented and full of promise but was never the same after. Still did a great job for us and is a legend, but could have gone to the top. Seem to remember he turned down a chance to join Man U when we were still in the Prem, though that might have just been a rumour from Shoot or Match!
Would have been before my time I'm afraid so couldn't say either way! He was the first QPR legend for me though, remember going to footy training as a 6 or 7 year old and shouting "GALLEN!" whenever I scored!
This bloke oozzes class and will get 20+ next season..... Absolute legend and the one player that i was genuinely happy about signing......He will be a legend for us..no doubt about that !!
I still love it when he 'yelps' in delight after scoring on Sunday. This man walks the walk. He said he would pay back the fans .. and he has.
Do you want to tell me more...?Im just not so optimistic. There's a thousands of examples of strikers who are scoring a lot after they are transferred to new club. Then they are just fading away. Hope that cisse can keep his scoring ratio but as someone said that he is going to be the best signing ever....C'mon!
