Its not just defensive stuff either, the Cirkin/Clarke linkup was key to our attacks in the first games
I guess this business model works at the likes of Dortmund where they buy young up and coming players and sell them on ......Haaland and Sancho being just 2 examples. While its great for the bank balance, it doesn't help with the continuity of the team when the bigger clubs can just cherry pick the talent. But....looks like thats the path we are going down
Ah fair enough. As I say, I haven’t eeen any of it unfortunately (or maybe fortunately from what I’ve heard!!)
We were stronger 2nd half and Alese seemed to be pushing forward, hopefully Mowbray can fit them both in for Saturday if Cirkin is fit
Patto O’Nien Batth Cirkin Gooch Ba Neil Alese Diallo Clarke Bennette Would enjoy seeing this on Saturday, gets our defence more solid while giving players a break who look like the need it
Every club in the world apart from Real, PSG, City & Barca are selling clubs. Even the once mighty Man Utd couldn't keep hold of Ronaldo back in the day. This is also a massive change from the Short era where we'd waste money on players who didn't want to be here and had no sell on value, or the Donald where we signed whoever was on a free
I'd keep the Cirkin/Clarke partnership down the left. It worked and it was our strongest part of the side.
Cheers marra, great to hear. Hopefully the Cirkin and Clarke partnership takes off again and TM finds room for the excellent Alese
I agree its unlikely but its absolutely not up to us. If Spurs bid the agreed price and he wants to go back, he will. Just can't see it though.
