I think they're signing pretty well to be honest. They'll look stable when they come straight back up and have a tight knit unit of players.

They probably will come straight back up Disco but it's purely down to financial clout as opposed to the reported 'tactical genius' of Benitez. Buying other clubs best players is hardly rocket science?!
What Warnock did last season at Rotherham was genius... He spent nowt & transformed a club!!

Warnock has written himself into Millers folklore for the job he performed in his 16-game stint, which sees him become the shortest serving manager in the club’s history.
After three games of his reign, his side were six points adrift from safety and staring relegation in the face until he masterminded a 10-game unbeaten run, which saw them move 10 points clear of the drop zone and secure their place in the second tier.

I also think the Mags have bought wisely for the league they are in. I'm sure when they come up (which I think they will at the first time of asking) then they will renew the squad again. Whatever we think of the Mags...they do spend on players, the trick is to buy the right players, I think Benitez will do that.

They've got financial clout because they're selling Sissoko and Wijnaldum has gone. Clever buys with big resell value and they now have the chance to create a decent squad.

I think they've made the best of a bad situation. We, on the other hand, seem to make the worst of a good situation every year.

Got nowt to say about Warnock really. The bloke's a tosser and a second class manager.

Also sold Townsend.

Agree with what you say !!
Not a Warnock lover either but he has 7 promotions to his name.... Mostly on a shoestring!

Not convinced we'll walk the league as some seem to expect. Teams go through different stages and looking at the league something like 17 or 18 of the 24 have played in the Premiership so the expectation of bouncing back can't be generally true.

How strong is the league? Well like most i only pay minor attention to it usually so I'm not going to assume it's rubbish. We've bought some decent players for the championship but what we need is a work ethic and team which has the desire and motivation to graft out results - that kind of character will not be tested until we have a bad run (which will happen) and when you buy in half a squad you're taking a risk.

Think yr worrying about nowt mate. The mags will walk that league without doubt. I actually think it's a poor league at the minute..

After tomorrow (which i think will be tight) we've got a few ok games so i expect us to be doing alright after 3-4 games but many of the trickiest fixtures we'll have all season are in September. If we're in and around the top few after that then yeah I think we'll be ok. Just think it'll be a few months until we're playing at our best with all the changes, but it's a marathon not a sprint.

Now it's actually relevant it's makes him look a tit? I would argue Everton looked the tits with not actually being true. Now it is true I think it's perfect. And hilarious! <laugh>

I'm pretty sure it was Man Utd fans that called him that. Not Everton.
