Chunk, I won't go into the rights and wrongs of the poll but you and BB came on here to defend your board and got upset with one post in particular which was made clear many times was a misunderstanding, you refused to accept that and went full strop. I don't know what you expected when you came on here but if you are as sensitive as you appear, you should have stayed well clear. Imo, your board as gone full overboard with this, numerous threads still bringing the situation up , rather than saying **** that lot not worth talking about let's move on. That Smug bloke seems a complete tool and his obvious desire to become a mod is comical to witness, which is why he won't let it lie. You obviously like it on there and seemed well respected so your decision is a little bewildering, you haven't got to ever read this particular forum ever again and just stay on the Sunderland board as non of them offended you, infact the opposite. You just need to stay away completely for a week, come back when it's all settled as you know perfectly well you'll miss it.
You also slated brb for saying he'd asked you to have a rethink on pm but he was asked to clarify the situation, which he did, you can't clarify and leave pieces out.

Fair points, however whilst I agree the comment was aimed at another poster, the fact remains that unacceptable language is not only used but condoned by the site.
If those words where used in a public place would people just shrug it off?
Brb did suggest I reconsider, he also shared a private message with the same people. Last time I checked private messages are private, what is the benefit of sharing them?
Quite why I shouldnt come on any board is a bizarre statement to make, isn't the point of message boards to have traffic and discussion?

This board is largely unmoderated. You might not like that or even agree with it, but everybody here is aware of that fact which makes it a personal choice to come over.
The reason I said to keep away from this particular board is it's obviously not for you.
You find the language unacceptable but others don't, some don't use it but ignore it, you can't seem to.
Words like that get used in public on a daily basis, rarely if ever pulled up by others.

Not bizarre at all, if something or someone upset me I'd stay clear of it, tbh I've never seen you post on this part of the forum until Friday, you may have but if so, it is very seldom , so you actually don't add to the traffic and discussion on it.

You seem like a decent guy to be fair, but I think you are way off with this. EVERY board uses bad language.
Agree with @Gessa btw. This had all pretty much died a death until Smug decided to make a play to become a mod.
