Took it down this morning, had enough of the silly season now. It's nice to see the grandchildren faces light up at them but after that it's all much and much.

Thankfully only an artificial one this year. No mess to clear up, got pissed off last year with the mare of cleaning up the pine needles.

Off to buy the Easter Eggs now <whistle>

Yes I agree.
It's fine upto Xmas day then it all gets boring as hell

Offered to take ours down earlier and was rebuffed because apparently it's still 'Christmas' until tomorrow and we've got people over.

Well, I'm ****ed if I'm doing it tomorrow so looks like it'll stay up till the weekend ffs.

It will not be lit up!

Ours was destroyed this morning. Still got to take the external lights down though

Always seemed a weird way of sending warm wishes on Epiphany with presents for kids to me, naughty children or good children, let's frighten the shhite out of them <laugh>

A man that knows ^

....and still ignored the ****er <laugh>

As you said and to be honest i did know and am fully aware of Epiphany. I wouldn't normally take them down until the 6th, especially it being on a Sunday this year. But probably being a bit under the weather today (man cold) I thought fook it, there coming down!

I’m not a superstitious person, but because I was brought up a Catholic I can never take it down until after 12th night, just in case <doh>

The whole 'christmas' thing is heathen anyway. 'An' it harm none, do what ye will' ...
