Anyone get any good books for Christmas? I got........ Cormack Mcarthy - Child of God William Faulkner - As I lay Dying
Bird's mum got her that and Ray Mears one for me. I'd be interested to flick through a book about how to survive in the wild but I've absolutely no interest in how many brothers and sisters he's got and where he went to school. Charity shop beckons.
I got The Spinning Heart-Donal Ryan(finished and recommended) Police-Jo Nesbo but only 100 pages in so review to follow.
I got another one form my sister on New years day - Walk the lines by Mark Mason. Basically he walked the route of every line on the London underground. It's bizarely absorbing.
I like the sound of that but bought the other half 'And The Mountains Echoed' and gobshite that I am bought it for her a few months ago,DOH! ps on a plus note The Kite Runner was a good book so will read this and Hosseini can spin a good yarn.
