I think a bit nearer the time we can look at the possibility of a meet, perhaps in the week before Christmas, those who can will and those who can't won't. I would be willing to travel to somewhere near the ground as a one-off.
A start.Nice one Sooper,1 down **** knows how many to go. By the way Brix, thought your idea was good also.
I think it's a great idea hoopton. Maybe have a little get together before and after a home game, either Man U or Sunderland. These games are just before xmas. The Man U game suits me fine as i'm on nights v Sunderland. ( I will have to try & swop shifts. ) I think the only people that oppose it probably are those that don't go to the games. I love going to the pub & chatting, QPR, beer & football! How does it get any better than that? I understand that some folk have their pre-match rituals, and love going to there favourite pubs, but to give it up for one game! If only to see that i'm a 4'4'' bald transvestite dwarf with a beard & glasses wearing a gimp mask and pink high-heels! ( Ooops, sorry. I look nothing like Bernie E. really. ) How funny is that? Build it Hoopton, and they will come.
999 your Field Of Dreams speech has reinvigorated me.I think this could work, hell it doesn't even have to be a match day if it means more of us can make it.Surely the opportunity of seeing you in your gimp mask and pink high-heels is too good for us all to turn down!! He He
Brix - thanks for the mention and great idea. We are actually over in the UK for 3 weeks over Christmas, spending Christmas Day with the Mrs' family in Northern Ireland. I'm already working out ways of getting to the Man U game, maybe as a correspondent for a national Peruvian daily, a friend of mine's sister is a journo. out here, we shall see. You Rssssssssssss
