I think the torch thing started in the South Stand - it looked fantastic on such a cold, clear evening. Thought Matty and Monkhouse were excellent - Gosling too. Great performance and result - now let's do it again against the Gulls and we'll have had the best Christmas results for bloody years! UTG!

Fantastic result and great performance today. If we can string a few more of these sorts of performances together and Barnet keep dropping points we'll soon be right up there with them. We've now beaten all our main rivals and we've played everyone at least once, so I don't think we have anything to fear.
Bristol Rovers go into tomorrow’s game against Torquay United hoping for a clean sweep of points over the festive period and Rovers defender Tom Parkes says that the squad is in a good place at the moment. “Confidence is high in the camp at the moment, but we need to be sure that we don’t go over the top with it especially with this big game coming up against Torquay. “It would be amazing for us to go through the Christmas period and get all the points on offer especially in the way we have in the last couple of games. “Playing in this team at the moment has been amazing and because we are winning games we can keep looking to try and catch Barnet. “We just need to stay focused and keep working hard in training so that when the games come we are always performing at our best. The festive period can be difficult for any club but Tom tells us that the squad have been doing the right things to remain as fresh as possible for every game. “Christmas time is difficult for every team in the league with games one or two days after another but the manager has had us doing the right things with cooling down and making us prepare for the next game. “We’ve got a very good squad here at the moment that allows us to change things around and that if it does get switched around we are still strong enough to go out there and win the game. Will Puddy returned to the starting 11 against Macclesfield and Parkes says the team have great faith in the shot stopper. “Sometimes it can be difficult changing your keeper but we’ve played with Will [Puddy] before and he is a brilliant keeper. “He talks all the time and he dominates his box and as a team we have great confidence in him.
