One of my pal’s dad has just tested positive for Covid. He’s in the highly vulnerable group. You’ll all know who he is, hoping he manages it and survives. Christmas really means nothing at this point.

Hopefully he does.

One of my oldest mates came out of his induced had coma in Salford Royal last night, we had a little chat on WhatsApp. Had been checking his WhatsApp for a week to see if he'd looked at it, as updates were scarce.

He's fully on the mend after a week in IC, there can be good news.

After last night's dust settled, Christmas at ours is just my lot and her parents, who live round the corner. Seven of us, it'll seem dead. We had thirteen last year.

Spoke to me Mam this morning and she's OK with it all now, it's a health thing that's most important than having Christmas day down here.

Seeing all those ****s flee London to spread their 'joy' around Britain is ****ing infuriating to those who have stuck to whatever measures are put in front of us.

My daughter had booked her train home from Edinburgh but cant travel now.
She lives on her own .
Mam and Dad just tested positive today and not feeling very well at all .
that;s **** mate, but just the way it is. sorry.

Yes mate that's true.
Had radio on today and there are a lot of people far worse off .
Will make it in April May etc .
It will spread a lot more .
Apparently in York today it was rammed with people everywhere
We are our fools, led by idiots.
I can see a time martial law comes, interesting.

Mrs bought her mum a ****ing Neo something or other ‘bucket bag’ for £1400. A retirement gift, woman’s worked about 3 years out of her entire life.

I think she’s spent about £25 on me for Christmas.

Mugged

So who's plans have been ruined? Or do you plan on ignoring it?

Feel for people tbh.
Ours is properly shafted to be honest. The wife is working a 13 hour shift on Christmas day so we'd arranged to do everything on Boxing Day. We'll still go ahead with it but no family involved. Does feel like a bit of a kick in the ovaries for frontline staff who are working Christmas day but I guess we're no worse off than those in Tier 4.

Just wife and kids... Might be better now I think of it.

Any good?

Wasn't going to bother tonight but I've effectively finished work and it's absolutely hosing it down again outside so I might just.

Got four slabs of Stella to plough through after all! :emoticon-0119-puke:

Was given a bottle of Captain Morgan spiced today, is that any good? Bet it's fine with ginger beer, eh?

The Dutty is decent, Cali Pale still their best by far though. Cap Mog is okay mixed no worries there, better than some more expensive ****e like Kraken.

Can’t lie, this would have tipped me like.

She’d have got the long stare with added obvious look of astonishment, followed by the slow head shake.

We agreed that she can tag along to Dubai when we go away next year, I’ll get her her own room and pay for flights and dining out etc, that was the deal. I figured it was free childcare for when we wanted to go out so agreed to it.

I’ll end up having a few too many over Christmas and bringing that up and it’ll cause a huge argument, I’ll kick off and ruin the entire day, and make up for it by agreeing to bring her ****ing sisters as well... FML.
