So who's plans have been ruined? Or do you plan on ignoring it?

Feel for people tbh.

Makes a massive difference at ours. We go into lockdown at midnight, it's all been cancelled more or less

As it goes, it affects two people in our situation, one of whom is 78 and now spends Christmas on her own, unless something else can be sorted.

But, Christmas 'parties' and that.

Who the **** has a Christmas party anyway ffs?

It's a meal.

No, won't be breaking the rules.

Just wish everyone could stick to whatever we're told and then perhaps we wouldn't be where we are.

My daughter had booked her train home from Edinburgh but cant travel now.
She lives on her own .
Mam and Dad just tested positive today and not feeling very well at all .

Hope they recover and Christmas isn't wrecked
Cheers mate !
I think the daughter is hoping her friend will go for dinner on xmas day .
She was a bit upset coz she couldn't come last year and the year before she was really ill when she got here and we had to take her into Hull Hospital on Xmas eve.
Maybe next year :emoticon-0184-tmi:.
Cant go see Parents till next year now so we will see .

Can see already how much this is effecting some of you and sorry to hear that, hate to think of anyone alone at Xmas tbh hope you can all make the best of it x

<laugh> I'd avoid Christmas altogether if I had your luck with it mate. It's all bollocks anyway, hope things get better for you and yours in the new year.

Mrs booked us a hotel and restaurant in Liverpool for Boxing Day, and I found out yesterday and immediately told her to cancel it. I’d love to spend a night in a hotel but I’m sure everybody else would too.

She argued that the government are making it up as they go, and I think she’s right, there’s no new strain, it’s their ****up not putting London into tier 3. However, the longer that people **** around the less chance we have got to get away to a hotel for 2 weeks in an actual nice place next summer.

Hope your mum manages ok without you bro.
