That's right Mr Plum, we are so obsessed that we couldn't be bothered to "infest" your board last night
Little did I think yesterday that my humble binman match day thread would attract #82 replies (and still counting) Maybe I'll do one on the Ipshit forum next match - and see if I can bring the kiss of death...again
Fair play, some on here may have taken this league a little lightly at the start, but I haven't heard Adams or Neil say 'when Norwich are in town, the minnows sit up and take notice, it's part of being a great club' (!) ...which is essentially what MM said last night. Made me chuckle.
It got more replies than any of the match day threads on your own board Plum you should feel honored that we are even discussing your team.. Warky seems to have gone a little quiet lately .
And he also said that we were like that a couple of seasons ago, when the top teams came to town! Also weren't you lot saying that about teams visiting you earlier in the season and parking the bus? but of course those bit slips the mind of the blinkered many!
A predictable, embarrassingly petty squabble emerging, as usual. Why moan that we have a thread about last nights game? Norwich fans naturally have an interest in Ipswich games this season because we are competing with you for promotion. I can't recall too many threads when we weren't competing with you. I recall one or two about Norwich on the Ipswich board though! You just played (and lost) to our former manager whom was both ridiculed by many of your fans and our own too. So its perfectly acceptable tohave a thread about that, just as you boys would if any of your former managers were good enough to still be in work and just faced us. As for McCarthy, everyone knows he talks absolute drivel to the press - its quite amusing really - the press certainly lap it up. I get the feeling some of the Ipswich boys are beginning to get a little nervous. They didn't expect to be in this position at the start of the season and may not get a better crack at promotion than this season. Pressure is rising and the cracks are certainly emerging. Hopefully City will be there waiting to leapfrog them and others during the run in. All to play for! Need to do the business on Saturday.
"As for McCarthy, everyone knows he talks absolute drivel to the press - its quite amusing really - the press certainly lap it up." True. I call that "dealing with the press well".
The last time I was on the Ipswich board I was doing Suffolk restaurant reviews. Not much happens on there so a handful of your fans spend more time on here because we are always up for a bit of friendly banter Plum. We were on the receiving end for a few months and took it in good spirits I even recall lots of piss taking when we signed our new manager. Ipswich appear to be rattled and the dissapointment every time you lose when you have a chance of going top just makes you doubt your ability to ever get out of this league.
I agree it's an open forum so you can have threads about whatever you like and it's also ok to visit other teams pages to see what is being discussed and even contribute or dare I say have a little joke with opposing fans. As for cracks appearing ...every team in this league has cracks that's why we are all in this league, very rarely in this division does one team dominate which imo is what makes it an exciting league..... On a side note would you like an Ipswich v Norwich play off final..........I'm not sure I could handle the tension.
Agree, I think the tension would be unbearable - not to mention the logistical problems of both sets of fans getting to the game via the same route and then getting tanked up! But what an occasion it would be. And what a prize at the end! As for the loser, well, I just don't know how you'd cope
I think we could handle it...but it would be bloody quiet on here for a month or two.....let's hope we both go up so we can keep the gentle ribbing going.
