Well, that's a bit of good news at least. Chris Wood is abysmal. I wouldn't pay3 quid let alone 3 million
He did the job last season but wasn't the right man to lead the line in this one - can see him being more then half decent in the years to come. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/33343733
Corrected. Does this mean I now get to call you an illiterate ****wit? Because, insulting someone else on an internet forum over their grammar will make me feel better about myself... So that's okay, right?
Feel free. Though that's not really a grammar mistake, it's a typo. I don't normally pull people up on their grammar, I just do it with Proud to get on his nerves.
I hope for Leeds' sake he has. Definitely still young enough to keep improving and I think it could really push his game to the next level being the main striker at a club and playing consistently.
Championship is his level so good luck to him. But for almost 3 million quid????? Jeez. Leeds have had their pants down good and proper on that one. Lol. Thanks
Its 2m. Only goes up to 3m if we get promotion. Still seems a little expensive but I'd say its only 200k-500k more than the current rate would be for a 23 year old striker who's already managed to get 22 goals in a season at championship level. He's also got 13 goals at international level which although for New Zealand ain't bad. His best years are very much ahead of him.
People saying we have had Leeds with Wood for £3M He is more proven then Martyn Waghorn and we paid £2M rising to £3M for him
If Wood hits his potential then £3m will be a bargain. Hope the promotion clause is inaccurate though because we've never see that money.
I hope we put a sell on clause in their aswell, Leeds always get good fees for their player except Kasper. They got about £12M for Ross McCormack FCOL
not even gonna bother trying to defend my club from this little dig Yea because we didn't want kasper anymore. We thought he was a liability and needed replacing, more than likely you guys were offered him. And we've only been getting better fees for our players since Cellino came in
Considering our respective positions from the time you sold him to us until now - we have finished above you for the past 5 years since we got him - and that Kasper won the championship keeper of the decade will you admit you thought wrong? I still find it funny that a keeper you had for a season 5 years ago still riles you up He needs to pay his outstanding tax bills somehow I missed you Leeds lot coming on our board - the Hull lot were a laugh but the banter deteriorated quickly with them while we could have a laugh more often then not
no.. He was poor for us, cost us considerably more points than he saved. Whether he went on to become a more rounded goalkeeper for you guys is irrelevant to me. He didn't do it in a leeds shirt and maybe never would. And lets be honest, a keeper isn't the difference between your guy's rise and us being stagnant. We've never really had a problem with the keeper position (except for when we had Kenny for a couple seasons, he was a bit of a liability). Think the rest of the team is the real difference. not all the hull lot are bad. Some of em can be...
