Chris Hughton in talks with Bristol City Chris Hughton has held discussions with Bristol City over vacant manager job Supporters have called for the 61-year-old after their 1-0 defeat to Swansea Hughton has not been in work since he was sacked by Brighton in May 2019 https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...on-held-discussions-Bristol-City-manager.html
Hughton has done it twice with Newcastle and Brighton, why not us? I prefer him to any of the others, we have had our experiment and it failed, this guy gives us a big chance, I hope we get him.
I have to say Of all the candidates mentioned in the media Hughton is my preference choice . He’s got experience of being successful of winning promotion from the Championship. Obviously nothings guaranteed, but it’s familiar territory for him, and that could be invaluable
don't think it was an experiment ...it was a plan ...which was chipped away .. unfortunately the "selling bit" let us down ..it became a greed thing … a chance to balance the books quicker than expected … with the best key players leaving instead of the ones that would make the balance sheet in equilibrium ….
Not sure where the ‘failure’ bit came from; didn’t someone quote LJ as promising to take us to Europe within 5 years? Well, he did just that!!! https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/dates-for-pre-season-tour-confirmed/ ...... I’ll get my coat.....
‘Get him in ASAP!’ – Plenty of Bristol City fans react to fresh managerial update https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/g...l-city-fans-react-to-fresh-managerial-update/
Seriously, Hughton would be my first choice, but I’m not paying his wages and he might not like the setup anyway.
I still don't think any of the managers linked to us are all that if I'm honest, mainly picking from dregs!! Gerrard might lure a few decent players in at best, but no experience in management apart from dabbling in a very poor Scottish league.....and for me, (probably on my own!) one of the most overrated and under achieving players I've witnessed...Worrying, because out of the dross there is, he would be my choice!!...........(I must be an arsehole in Wiz's category )
Jurgen Klinsmann is available - he left Hertha Berlin earlier this year. Now HE is someone I WOULD get excited about...…….
Hopefully a lot more excited than i have been for the last two years watching the dross. Remember 21 years consecutive sts and i have not renewed as yet for the new season. Shows how poor the football got.
Well I have renewed but the football has not been enjoyable to watch, 40 passes between our midfield and defence then give the ball away before we cross the.halfway line, take a corner or free kick in an advanced attacking position and the ball goes back to our goalkeeper, No forward movement ideals on offer! Whoever takes over we Must do better!
Well listening and reading threads from fans at clubs he has been with he is held in high regard. Also fans at other clubs in the championship hold him in high regard. + his record in the championship has been excellent. sign him up.
