http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/BREAKI...g-rule-Irish/story-20072054-detail/story.html Bristol City are to run the rule over Republic of Ireland Under-21 international winger Chris Forrester. The 20-year-old has joined up with City's first team squad for training after being invited for a two-week trial. Forrester was recommended to City towards the end of last season, but the Robins decided to monitor his progress rather than make a move to sign him before the transfer deadline in August. City have decided to take a closer look at the youngster now that the League of Ireland season has ended and he could feature in tomorrow's FA Under-21 Development League Cup tie against Peterborough United at Ashton Gate (2pm). Forrester recently helped St Patrick’s Athletic to win the League of Ireland title and qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League. He was the division’s highest midfield scorer with nine goals.
We've got better players playing for the under 20 's , Mcginn and Mccourt were both good players but I would prefer the young scottish players given a chance
I have saw young Forrester on a number of occasions and I have to say he is good but not that good . If he was some lower flight English League team would have snatched him up. I think we have as good at the club .
