I reckon she must be well dead and buried by now <laugh>

I think I was fascinated as a kid, going out on a Sunday, and no fooker about. Completely different to now. I think the shopkeeper must have use to shut around midday'ish, only because I remember some Sundays I never use to get their in time.

Sundays were defo much quieter. No mobiles so you had to knock for your mates. Start off as one of you, then two, three and so on lol. I was usually either playing footy or up to no good with the lads on some derelict building site.

I've told this story before, but I remember one Sunday, scaling the rooftops of the local shops. Anyway, someone must have called the old bill. I thought no problem, the cops aint going to catch me up here.

Only problem was, there was only one way up, and one way back down again and the copper knew it. <laugh>

Anyway it was getting on for tea time, and back then you wouldn't dare roll home late, so it was mum or the copper, fooksake did the copper give me a clout! But you didn't say a word about it back then, because if yer mother found out, she'd give you even an harder wallop.

Since it's getting near Christmas, whats the general opinion on Toblerone and Terry's chocolate orange?

I love em both but never think to buy them during the year <laugh>

Orange Toblerone is out this year- only at Tesco though. Also white Terry’s.

The white Toblerone is very good but I know people over 50 don’t tend to like white chocolate so just me and Libby potentially for that.

I don't eat chocolate. I reach for a banana or an orange, instead.

You can add me to the list, have to hide it from my daughter though.

Cops (and teachers) only ever frightened me when they threatened to tell my mum what I’d been up to.

When you spent years having to put up with the Milky Bar kid, you'd go off white chocolate.
