They should make CIN like an x factor competition, gather up a few dozen of the poorest most deprived little ****ers and vote one out each week. Or better still, there's plenty of insects & kanga penis to munch on in the Aussie jungle, Help I'm A Child in Need Get Me In Here.
I bet Ewan McGregor will be stood next some dieing african kid, saying how **** the world is to poor people. Then there cut the feed and he'll get back in his luxury castle on wheels, total ****.
Completely agree, i read a report stating that over 50% of the profits will go to ad agencies and the people who co-ordinate the events.
I can't see human rights groups approving of this idea. The current system is flawed, but your suggestion is probably little too outside the box for most people.
some are paying agencies over 90% of the money raised The employment of 'charity sales agents' has increased massively, in some cases charities have closed as they were paying the agents more than what was being raised There are campaigns such as the 'pinkwashing' one which are trying to raise awareness that very little money goes to the intended target not suprisingly they get very little coverage
You see job adverts for these "charity sales agents" all the time, and they're always very highly paid. If your paying employees that much, then it surely limits the ammount you can donate. It's simple economics really.
The thing is people are easily fooled when its a 'good cause' Many dont know that although its the little old lady in the oxfam shop volunteering, the area manager is paid about £60k pa Also if you go into oxfam and body shop etc they have things like henna on for £6 onwards yet go to an indian/asian shop and buy a box for 49p
To put it in comparison, i work part time, and i earn less than half of what the example you provided (i love being back in work), but i actually have to do some work, not strut around telling all and sundry how much good my company does, whilst giving all my "charity" money to a bunch of people with offices paid for by the naive british public.
I was a senior manager in th epublic sector with the amazing salary of £35k pa at one time. yet even the guy at Islamic Aid was on £45k at the time, the Oxfam guy was on £54k dont get me started on the expenses paid to the 'chairs' etc
I used to work for red cross getting ppl to sign up to giving money each month. Use to walk round with a clipboard walking up to people, for every person that signed up I got £15. Got like 5 a day was easy money, people don't seem to care how much a rip charity is.
You really are a miserable bastard. Can I ask what programme your missing? I mean I had no idea it was on and hardly ever watch BBC on a Friday night. If you don't like it that much change the ****in channel.
i never thought i'd agree with you, but i do on this. just seen those two ****s jedward singing a song with a load of young kids about ****ing,
I can't stand "Crap Telly Night" either but then I hardly watch any TV. Galloway is on Talksport at 10pm, that's always a good listen even though he shouts down anyone to the right of Che Guevara.
