Yeah I used to do a fair bit indoors, gets strength up pretty quick and is less likely to injure me than a rack and a bench. Plus the birds are fit, you don’t see many fatties at the wall.

Did outdoors a few times too with my mate who lives up in the Lake District. Nothing extreme as I can’t do heights.

I doubt you’d struggle tbh, as long as you’ve got a pair of legs there’ll be plenty you can do.

What is everyone’s preferred music when doing exercise?

I tried tels rap suggestions though find myself listening to drum an bass.

gone through most of the high contrast stuff.

    today is logistics.

surely drum an bass is the perfect music for doing exercise. Thoughts ?? Was going to start a d&b thread but thought I’d lob it in here instead as relates.

Been running these last few weeks, every other day. 5k to 10k training plan.

My middle 'un comes with me most days, so there's no music, but the last one of every week is a fairly long time to run so he's dropped out of that.

Anyway, last Thursday was a 40 minute four miler and this was the background music.

    Ideal to tempo run to.

If i'm on a jog or something @luvgonzo has a decent and varied playlist on Spotify.

Spotify themselves also do good playlist based on musical tastes. CBA to do my own.

PT mate gave me a new weights programme to follow. Four sessions a week along with upping step count as I’m on the laptop from the minute I switch it on for work until 5:30/6.

Two weeks in and I’m down 1.5kg and got some definition back in my legs I’d lost after not training them for weeks.

What sort of stuff are you doing? I’ve just got a multi gym. So use that and go out on my bike once or twice a week. My weight has gone up so far.

I’ve got a bench and two adjustable dumbbells only up to 30kg combined or 17kg with one.

He’s got me doing four full-body sessions a week for now. Today’s when I get round to it is:

    Shoulder presses
    Goblet squats
    Bent over rows
    Hip thrusts
    Incline press-ups
    Planks
    Weighted carries
    Mountain climbers

Three sets of each with the goal just to increase the weight from the same session last week or increase the reps if I don’t have the gear to add weight. Doesn’t sound like a lot written down but but makes for a good 45 minute or so session.

Hip-Hop is my go-to for exercising, I like the beats better than any sort of dance music. Funnily enough though, some tunes I’d train to when I used to train to a much higher intensity are nothing to do with music I like to listen to. I used to do a little circuit finisher which would absolutely ruin me and the track I always chose was Heart Of Courage by Two Steps From Hell. It was about the right length of time conveniently.

You ever tried any of that Montec ski/snow wear ? Looking at a winter jacket (I figure it's cheaper to buy one in the summer, when nobody wants one)

Some of their jackets claim to be 25k waterproof and 25k breathable. Tempted to go for something other than TNF and I'd quite like the extra length of a snowboard jacket, rather than a bog standard shell.

Just wondered if you had any experience with them ?

With it being about 30 degrees out today, the first thing that came to mind was, I wonder if I can get myself a deal on some decent snow chains. Any advice lads?
