Lad I used to work with asked me for a meal plan about 14 months ago. He was too skinny and 'couldn't put weight on'. Absolute myth that crap, he followed it and now he's a completely different person. People who say they can't gain are just talking ****. They eat 2000 calories of crisps and chocolate before football practice and then go around professing that they can eat anything without gaining weight.
5 eggs and 150g of smoked salmon for breakfast. For lunch I'll make avocado with mozzarella and peri chicken breast Dinner will be chicken and lamb kebab skewers with some green ****e.
Fate played its trump card yesterday and left us with no hot water until Monday. Forced me back into the gym today and a hot shower after. Enjoyed it. Water should've gone off months ago!
Yep. Haven't been too well the last 6 months and have been using that as an excuse to avoid the gym. Enjoyed it though. Will be back tomorrow and during the week when hopefully I can use my own shower
Calf update: still sore, must be 6 weeks now, but thought **** it today and had a gentle treadmill run. Only did 3k. It hurt but not as much as I expected. Will give 5k a go tomorrow.
Monday: Spin class, high intensity training, core, upper body conditioning: pull ups, rows, etc Tuesday: 12k run: 7k outdoor, 5k indoor, legs: dead lifts, calf raises etc Wednesday: Core work and HIT, upper body light weights Today: Outdoor run and legs: squats, lunges, etc Friday: Bike ride and upper body conditioning Can do three sets of ten pull-ups now and run at sub 4 min per kilometre. Need to improve my cycling. Used to be able to do 150 revs per minute on sprints a few years ago when I was cycling longer distances and spinning regularly, can barely do 125 revs per minute. Targetting 130 tomorrow. If I can get to 150 I will be back at my peak level of fitness in early 40s. Saturday-Tuesday: Partying at Feria de Sevilla, so swimming, possibly one treadmill run
Swimming later The 5 aside footie is finished. I was arranging it but ****s want begging every week and turn up as if they doing me a favour. **** that. Going to play squash instead with a couple of lads who turn up when supposed to
We always got 10 but it was time consuming. We had 20 people on a WhatsApp group and if was first ones to respond on the day get to play. I can't be doing with the "I'll play I'd you want". Or the ****s turning up late but then complaining that they didn't get a full hour All whinging now but told em to **** off
Generally find that trying to organise 10 people to do anything that requires them to be in the same place at once is a massive pain in the arse.
They all want to play mate but they want to be called and asked, play hard to get if you will but want to play I'm not your mum ****er, yay or nay? That's what winds me up.
Played a hard squash match Tuesday. Yesterday was 10 minute warm up cycle, 2500m fast row. Military Pres, bench press, dead lifts and squats and then finished off with 20min run. Similar tonight. Think I'll bomb out the gym now 'summer' has arrived and just cycle and run out doors with body weight reps here and there. Bored of going to the damn place.
