You seem scared of updating the DoL league. Surely, you can update it now that spurs are doing better. Or are you waiting for them to top the league?
Did my running on Sunday and Tuesday. Core exercises Monday. Day off today for footie (third home game in a week, hoping to see a goal!). Tabata Thursday. Rest Friday. Run Saturday. Actually like running in morn in dark at 630am before work. The river is pretty well lit in West London and level ground, so no ankle twists.
There’s been no change in the DOLL! We’re still above Arsenal. That is all I care about. You do know that, don’t you, CFC?
And I thought you cared about Chelsea too Cutting down on my cardio as advised by my PT. He thinks 3 runs a week plus two HIIT classes are too much cardio, plus I cycle to work every day (although only 7 miles allez et retour). Apparently too much cardio can create too much cortisol, which is not good for recovery/development. So doing more strength training, less cardio. Bored of not drinking, especially at Chelsea atm. May have first drink at Emirates next week.
Out of interest did he tell you how much cardio you should be doing? Or how much to cut out from what you are currently doing?
Have read about too much cortisol affecting metabolism. I think it only really applies to unplanned, unregulated and spontaneous bouts of cardio though. I do 3-4 intensive 10 mile off road mtb loops each week. On top of that surfing when it's on, which can be 0-4 times per week and then in the pool for a swim once a week, but hoping to increase that as soon as my mate sorts out my membership. As above, interested to know what your PT recommends for number of cardio workouts ?
In my days as a bare-knuckle boxing barrister, I found that squats and dead lifts were fantastic at busting fat as well as increasing core strength.
My basic understanding is that Cortisol effects how much protein you can take on, so ****s with muscle development. Cortisol breaks down fat into glucose to release energy. It won't just be targeting fat, it will break some muscle down as well so having too much of it will mean you will lose quite a lot of lean muscle mass. Or cardio = gainz killer
Haven't been the gym this week, was cream crackered on Tuesday so couldn't be arsed. Will be going tonight and some deadlifts and squats will probably be involved too! Skied all day Monday so that was good, played squash last night and that was also good. Need to hit that bastard gym though, tonight my only chance this week.
