One of the best, possibly even the best, british takeaway Pizza's I've ever tasted is at a place called Food Fair in Swinton. Especially after a gallon of lager in the Bulls Head and Yates's

That the place is still going strong after what must be 25 years says it all. Superb margarita (I was veggie back then).

Everybody disses Domino's on price. You can get a medium pizza there for £5.99 collection with any two toppings. That's a bargain, I love a Dominos.

    Pizza Express is ****e imo.

I prefer a proper thin crust and pizza express do them. I wouldn't necessarily go through the hassle of getting a takeaway there.

Dominoes never fail to disappoint, I suppose it's where you get it from. There isn't one near where I live but the one down where I work is gash.

The pizza hut is better, not that I've been to either often. I quite like pizza hut as a rule though.

Dominoes are now doing a really thin crust with artisan toppings. They’re actually quite nice. Mrs has one of those if we get one. Had one the day after the Christmas do. Stayed in bed all day eating pizza. Perfect.

Marks & Spencer do a range of stone baked pizzas, which are bloody lovely. Italian cured meats, a little mozzarella and rocket is my favourite. Because there is not much cheese, it's never greasy and therefore I don't suffer with acid reflux.

That's true mind, I've had a few dominos where I've thought 'That's not right', usually when I'm using a new Dominos. My local one is legit nuts.

Not that I should be thinking about pizza for a while.

    Here was tonight; shoulders, back and a bit of legs to finish;

4 sets of 8 seated military press
4 sets of 8 one arm lateral raise - cable
4 sets 8 cable crossovers (in front of chest, chest height, not sure what they're technically called)

4 sets 10 single arm sit down cable rows
    5 sets 10 barbell rows

4 sets of 8 barbell deadlifts
5 sets of 8 barbell full squats

Tried a run after but couldn't really be arsed so sacked it.

Am having butternut and sage ravioli with tomato and pepper sauce for tea. <ok>

For all the takeaway chains we're on about for pizza, we just don't do it right like our european pals.

Go to any run of the mill cafe/restaurant in France or Spain etc. and they'll casually knock out superb pizza from a proper fire oven, cheaper than any Dominos or Pizza Hut.

We have **** all like that in Britain. They're everywhere abroad.

Nothing beats a New York pizza though. Outstanding.

First time I went to NYC I asked a bloke in a coffee shop where to get a good pizza. He was like 'Hey buddy, this is New York. There is no such thing as bad pizza. If anyone dares serve up crappy pizza in New York, they'll be run out of town with a week !'

It's many years since I went but you could just go to more or less anywhere and be able to pick up a slice to go of what was the brst pizza you'll have tasted.

Until the one the one you have next day!

Same for most food in NYC though. It's great, especially street food. I lived there for short time in the late 90's and used to take my pick of Italian, Greek, Lebanese, Mexican, Puerto Rican food from street vendors. There was a place in Park Slope near where I was renting an apartment that did these amazing Lamb Kofta kebabs with a wonderful Tzatziki sauce. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

Got plenty of time to kill down here in the evening!

Plus, at the minute I'm only getting to go twice a week so I stay longer.

@Chief Phone died last night before I could reply and I can't remember where you asked about Biarritz. We have a big family trip to NY planned in 2019 and this year was already booked Puerto Rico so it'll be considered for 2020.

It was you who asked where I stay in Biarritz originally.

We've booked, was just letting you know they've been taking bookings since Jan 2nd. I reckon those apartments would be popular though.
