Anyway, back on the bike again, again today. Got the a new tyre after my unfortunate incident the other day and back on it. Was flippin minging out there today
Tweaked my back putting a dumbell down. One of those 'oh ****, that's not right' moments. Feels OK a minute but got a feeling it will smart tomorrow, and then not go away, probably ever.
Just been doing the former. Bit of down dog, child's and cobra. Won't see her till tomorrow evening now and there's ****ing buckshee chance she'd ever do that!
Good man. Another good one is just laying on your back and bringing each knee up to your chest alternately. Also laying on your back, with your feet flat on the floor, knees bent and just rocking your knees over to each side (as flat as you can get them) Both of those will release any tension in your spine and help gently stretch your lower back muscles.
She's going out Saturday night for her Christmas gin monkey night with her mates. My best hope of a blowie tbh. Still won't get a back massage.
Well a blow job trumps a back massage tbf. You'll just have to get cozy with that hot water bottle instead.
Anyone who doesn't do this by the way, should. Remember being scoffed at when I was doing yoga classes when this thread first started but two or three of those poses done when the back feels a bit wrong, or sciatica is kicking in, works a treat. I also wonder what the **** people who don't train back and core must suffer from. Your own fault tbf.
I would be ****ed without the yoga, had more than my fair share of back and neck injuries and miserable bouts of sciatica that have lasted months. And just general wear and tear from lugging **** around fixing up the house, playing sports and spending hours in freezing cold water. I do about 10-15 mins gentle stretching religiously every day, and if I ever feel like I'm stiffening up, I stretch it out before it gets to the point where I'm pulling muscles. My missus is a Yoga nut and I'll often come downstairs to find her standing on her head lol, so I guess I've got a constant reminder and motivation to do it. But yeah, I don't know how anybody who does any kind of fitness or activity copes without it tbh.
