I got a dodgy knee from football days…can feel it click n twitch when I don’t really want to. Was offered keyhole but refused on advice that it doesnt really improve the knee enough from 2 other lads I know that had it done.
That's exactly what i'll be looking to have. Got a private consultancy on the 11th and expect to get the knee cleaned out, I can't see how it can't improve it? As it goes, my knee feels ok at the minute but that's because I've rested it. Soon as it do anything strenuous it'll come back, needs sorting.
I don’t know how it wouldn’t improve, that’s what I thought. Maybe playing football full pelt after the op isn’t the best way forward but they just carried on and i guess that had an impact. Taking up a different hobby that doesn’t quite stress it like Football does/can could be the answer.
Sorted mine a treat. Was a meniscus tear/damage that would inflame and swell and lock the knee up. Its a personal thing, I was told that it could lead to issues in the future, but was struggling at the time so made the decision
Used a few of these over a number of weeks to get the swelling down. Did a great job. Worked on the flexibility of the knee at the same time. Went from being able to move it a few degrees to now being almost the same as my left knee. Will still need an op though.
Used to play a lot of Badminton back in the day…thought I was quite nifty at it tbh considering starting up again
Mine is fine now. But made sure did physio etc and don't run/play football anymore. Cycling and golf is as tough as it gets. Was advised against running/football by consultant pre and post op
I had the meniscus tear doing burpees. Even after physio I've never been the same since - more psychological than physical to be fair.
Yes I was told the same, luckily the scan showed my tear was only a small one. Once I felt mine go I immediately stopped training and after a few weeks of no improvement, got a scan.
Yeah I’ve known DL years…since around the time I used to party with Richard E Grant who I met on a flight to Ibiza in the 90’s. Used to attend the Fashion Show in London regularly whilst off our heads on every drug you can think of
