Looking to sign up for lands end to JOG ride next summer. So started training for this on the turbo at home and planning some long winter rides to build up base fitness.
Unsure what you are talking about when it comes to training, but surely you can do some for of excercise. That way you wont be mardy.
I can start light training again now... I've just ignored that though and went exteme. I'm in tremendous shape for my age, but it's really my mind that needs it.. I just can't sit around.
Surf has finally returned after weeks and weeks of flat spell. Best workout ever is surfing and I feel fit as a fiddle after a week or so of doing it. Also taking the little one and her mates to a total wipeout aqua park thing on Sunday, so that will probably ruin me.
Right, it's seven o clock and I should go to the gym. Not been for a couple of weeks, had other things on. But it's dark and wet outside and I can't be arsed to go out of the door tbf. Probably go tomorrow.
Why do today, what you can put off until tomorrow? Pulled hamstring has stopped me for almost two weeks now. So getting motivated innOctober will be hard. I say get yourself off, even if it’s just 30 mins.
I will show you a pic soon of me in the pissing rain, covered in mud. And this will be your inspiration to go along to that nice warm, dry and well lit gym
I like running in rain at night or early morning. How long is the walk from your front door to your car? Just suck it up mate you'll still enjoy it once you get there..
I'm not at home. I stay in listed old farmhouse in the back of beyond twice a week, it's dark as ****. And tonight, wet as **** as well. Quite enjoyed running with headtorch on last autumn and winter but my knee is a bit dodgy at the minute so I've not done that for a while. Just cba this evening, one of those days I suppose. Trimmed the beard and had a shave instead ! You're right, I would have enjoyed it. Will go tomorrow, definitely.
Think the 9 and a half hours kip I just got instead was more benefit than going the gym. Gym tonight though, oh yes.
I'm starting to walk without a massive limp Still struggling up and down stairs though. Having to sleep with a pillow between my legs to ease the pain.
I wish, probs less pain. Old knee injury from football. Been operated on 15 years ago. Getting back to what it was pre op.
