please log in to view this image Back in the 70's and 80's you got a free bird with every can of lager. There was a photo of them on the can. Chic's ma got really pissed off and still has nightmares about the time he took all thirteen of them back to her gaff.
The first time I met Chico was in rather strange circumstances. My old neighbour (female) RIP was a sporadic alcoholic. I was driving my car in Cadder and my neighbour was at the top of the hill absolutely sparkled, lying in the middle of the road, I tried to get her up, and Charnley pulled over and helped me get her to the side of the road. Sadly, she has passed away now. Nowadays, my daughter is pals with his niece and they go to the same dance school.
Thanks Baz for your insights into the humanitarian face of Chic. This is all too often forgotten because of the red cards and his ninja style antics on the jags training ground. Again it is the humble Rangers fan who steps forward to say a kind word about someone who is a fan of our greatest rivals. How typical of the fans of that great club. Indeed if it was not for Rangers there would be no posts on this board. Rangers FC supporting Scottish football forums since 1872.

As one of Scotland’s famous Lager Lovelies, she was one of the country’s most recognisable faces. But model Karen Thomson has been caught growing almost £12,500 worth of cannabis in her basement flat. She was rumbled when officers received an anonymous call from Barry Lochrie that her flat was being broken into and her plants had been spotted. The 52-year-old, who is now a landscape gardener, kept a cannabis factory in a bedroom in her flat in Dowanhill, Glasgow, to supply the drug to friends (possibly Dev and MD). The business grew and soon Thomson was dealing. Details of Thomson’s drugs business emerged at Glasgow Sheriff Court last week. She pled guilty to supplying cannabis between October 2012 and May 2013. Her sons Joshua at the walls of Jericho, 19, and Jefferson Airplane, 22, pled not guilty to the charge, which was accepted.
