Wholeheartedly agree with this. Steven Gerrard's England career to name one. He would be getting a lifetime ban for bringing the game into disrepute if a FIFA disciplinary panel reviewed his actions on the pitch April - June.
He is undoubtably the best striker in the world at the moment and the game will be poorer without him but he deserves the book to be thrown at him. His career is clouded in controversy the 3 bites, the racism and everything which followed on from that, the cheating and diving. The problem is when ever he does this things he never ever seems to show any signs that he thinks he was in the wrong, he never comes out and apologizes, that's the thing which strikes me, which is why he continuously does something stupid again and again. Until Liverpool, Uruguay and all these other people stop supporting him he will never ever learn, they need to condemn him for what he has done and then he will learn. I accept people need help and he does but people need to see that they are in the wrong first and with this continouos support he keeps getting from his club for these disgusting things he won't!!!
I can't see how anyone can defend him. He has now done this 3x. He was also found guilty of being racially abusive to Evra - how many more chances should he get? If the rule makers (FIFA/UEFA/FA) were really interested in "kicking racism out", then Suarez would already be serving a lengthy ban. 8 games was ridiculous - should have gone down the NBA route where the owner having been found guilty was banned from the sport for life
