Airlie, I think the point is that you've said "Don't get all defensive" and said that you haven't had a pop etc, when part of it was the above quote.
Strov..... Bit of a history lesson for you matey ! When N.P came to Hull he was soon followed by Hobbs, Fryatt & lastly Waghorn on loan(albeit curtailed by injury) now forgive my ignorance but I have always believed that this sort of practice was part & parcel of football when a manager moves on ? After all it's what he is paid for, to strengthen within the means/remit provided, agreed ? However, now the boot is on the other foot, you & some of your fellow supporters are full of resentment ! The " True Facts " of why N.P came back to Leicester will probably never be known, though wages thus his families future may have played some part but certainly not just that, me thinks ! Perhaps he did not feel he could work with the Allams who were appointed after he was, gave it a go & thought "No, these guys ain't for me" & how your owners have since treated two very good servants of HCAFC possibly justifies that decision ? Whatever Niges's faults were I think he is a very Honourable guy, as why would he come back to us after IMHO our then Chairman (Mandaric) Shat on him from a great height ! I can only conclude it was for three reasons. 1. He never wanted to leave, but Mandaric made his position untenible ? 2. The Allams,(enough said,Mandaric all over?) 3.Perhaps saw himself having a better chance achieving his goals with more financially supporting owners ? This ain't bragging or wumming, just telling it how an outsider might see it ! After all when N.P left us for you, HCAFC was a team I have & still do follow, for all good reasons/interest. That just leaves me to wish you all the best in your search for your next manager & next season .
I can exclusively confirm that Chester and Stewart were indeed shown around the KP stadium today - they had a personal tour conducted by our new signings Jamie Vardy and Lionel Messi ...
All of what you have said is logical and probably true. But you miss some important facts. When Pearson signed Fryatt and Hobbs, they were very much surplus to requirements at Leicester. I recall going onto foxestalk to enquire about them and almost to a man your fans were saying that they weren't good enough for the New Leicester and they not wanted. The situation at Hull City is VERY different. The players you are interested in are very much our best players and very definitely not for sale, and your club has been told that. Do you see the difference in the two sets of circumstances? As for Pearson, it's the easiest thing in the Worley to throw a blanket rationale over everything by calling it "bitter Dull fans", but that would be to the discredit of those who said it because they simply aren't getting to the truth of the situation. Good luck to Pearson, he is a good manager, but in all honesty he has now walked out on two clubs when the going got tough, what does that say about his personality?
There will be a new signing being shown around the KP on Sunday, I've just been told by one of the ground staff that the facilities are to be opened on Sunday to show them around. They will have signed four players and it's not even the 1st of June yet! Suppose Nige likes to get his business done early; it's a pretty good move as it means the new players will have a whole pre season together.
