And so onto the final day of the meeting,and the big one The Gold Cup! first up is the Triumph,always a tricky race.Peace and Co should win but is no price,i wanna take him on with Beltor,who I can invisage storming up the hill.2.05 Ebony Express is chasing the bonus after winning the Imperial Cup but I like Commissioned who will like the ground.2.40 I like the look of both Value At Risk and No More Heroes,but I'm just siding with the former.3.20 The biggie,i just can't have the fav,Silviniaco Conti,i don't believe he likes the course,or that he truly gets home up the hill.The options are many,Lord Windermere may well run a big race again,but I can't see him winning again,McCoy on Carlingford Lough will be popular,but I don't think he's good enough to win.Djakadam comes from the Mullins yard,a race he has never won,and while he might have the scope I don't feel he's up to winning this.Coneygree could be a monster,and got pulled out of an easier looking race for this.His trainer is bullish that he is ready,but I think it might be a bit soon for him to topple some of these.Smad Place and The Giant Bolster could again run into the money at inticing prices while Many Clouds has done nothing wrong,but I feel he just lacks that little something that it takes to win this race.For me that leaves Holywell and Road To Riches,the first has shown he can come up the hill in great style and will be a huge threat if he's on the scene 2 from home.But Road To Riches gets my vote,a second season chaser only recently converted to 3 miles.His improvement has been rapid and sparkling,he has all the attributes required to take this great race,and I can see him being victorius this afternoon.4.00 Paint The Clouds should dominate the Foxhunter's. 4.40 Roi Des Francs for Mullins and Le Mercurey for Nicholls!i think the latter has more scope for improvement.But check the odds for Kauto Grand Mogol,he's a half brother to Kauto Star and he could be pretty useful.5.15 Could McCoy win in his final race at the festival in a race now named after him?he could and might on Ned Buntline,if anything is going to deprive him of his moment of sporting immortality,it's probably going to be either Next Sensation or Mount Colah.Good luck to all and enjoy the day,it could be a day to live long in the memory!
