Opinions from the Twitterati at the game [including the people who do the reports for the PAFC website & Western Morning News]: 1) Good game in which both sides had periods of supremacy. 2) Good passing again at times. 3) Hourihane & Gurrieri contenders for MoM. 4) Absolutely stonewall penalty and another rather less convincing one both turned down - but maybe we've had our share of luck there. Also hit the woodwork. 5) Deserved at least a point if not three. 6) 670 Greeen Army in crowd of of only 3,000. Excellent away support on a Tuesday night. 7) We are back to not defending headers from dead ball situations properly. 8) Hourihane booked and so not available for Rotherham game.
No Houri for Rotherham now that is a problem!! Who is going to play in the middle with Young? Gurrieri but that would be a very lieghtweight or perhaps Macca. Lowry came on for a few minutes but cannot be match fit yet.
Oh go on then mexijan I'll do it. He is always one breath away from a booking which is a big failing of his. Whenever you see him chase somebody you wince because he has a habit of, lets say, not tackling in a proper and legal manner. From most of the things I've read notdistant it would seem that Argyle were pretty much the better side last night but it still gets you nothing. Never has been much justice in football.
So who do you think will be in the middle for the Rotherham game? As for Houri perhaps if we dye his hair ginger he will get away with it, worked for Scholes for years.
Not sure but he won't go 4 - 3 - 3 at Rotherham that's for sure. Lowry perhaps? If he is fit of course but he is back in training apparently. Midfield is our weakest link at the moment.
I believe Hourihane was booked for diving. I'd far rather he was booked for a rash tackle than bring that shame on us all........
One little Tweet I meant to relay obviously came from someone who has been impressed by Argyle's recent improvement in style if not altogether yet in results. Having admitted some possible Green bias, he/she was also one of those that travelled to Cheltenham on a Tuesday evening. It went along the lines of: "Those of you with your 'Sack Fletcher now flag' can stick it up your ****s after that". I rest my case m'lud.
Nor have I plym. Without a bit of wind they just flop around all limp. I like the way you rest all your case on one person's view who happened to attend a match. I've seen Argyle at home with Fletcher in charge many many times over the last year. He is not a tactical genius. He might be getting better but he has a lot to learn and I hope we don't suffer whilst he does. We cannot afford another battle this season. It is looking better and that is all I'm prepared to conceed at the moment. Jury well and truely still out.
